The spot price (not futures speculation-driven) of US Foodstuffs is the best performing asset in 2014 - up a staggering 19%...

There is NO INFLATION! My TV said so.

It also said that only racists, and Fox News-watching ZOMBIES would think there is any inflation. My TV wouldn’t lie to me, would it?

There is no inflation.

Gas is up, milk is up, meat is up, building materials up, clothing up, shoes up, furniture up, appliances up, autos up yet there is no inflation. Amazing.

A Republican candidate could buy the senior vote by promising to base SSI payments on inflation of the things that seniors buy, such as food, eletric, and fuel.

If you really wanted to win seniors over, promise to recalculate the last 20 years and make back payments for the understated inflation rates. That would hurt our debt, but it would be making good on a promise that was made. And we’d take the next election by storm.

This time of year most apples are imported from south america. They had killing late frosts down there back in Sep/Oct at the beginning of their growing season. Supply is decreased accordingly.

Their sales must be abysmal. I have just stopped buying so much simply out of spite. I buy as little as possible.

I can't be the only one.

We have a half acre garden and our four hens are laying an average of 3 eggs a day. We just purchased 12 more hens. And we’re getting ready to purchase another calf in partnership with our neighbor.

Next on the list is solar and wind power.

KOO: The US Is In A 'QE Trap' And Both The Markets And The Media Are Missing It

"The argument is essentially that risks of very hot inflation are much higher now than they would be if we were coming out of a normal slump that didn't require QE."

Note: They will ALWAYS be buying lobster and tenderloins regardless of price while you have to skip the hamburger because it topped $10 per pound.

"seniors" have been part of the biggest problem in this country.....

we spend more money on the elderly then we do for the kids....like a 10-1 difference....

the elderly are the only group in this country doing pretty well, holding lots of wealth, yet we give them all the freebies on the backs of working 20 somethings with kids....and we wonder why young people don't have kids....they can't afford to!

There's no inflation because the gubmint decided to exclude the majority of these items cause they kept increasing the inflation rate; ergo, there is no inflation, according to the jug-eared moron brigade.
