I received a standard plea for reelection campaign money from his office just this week. He wasn't aware that was being sent out? Very strange timing.
I don't see this seat as an easy win for anyone on the right. The primary is going to be a typical mid-Michigan melee, too many candidates and none of them with widespread name-recognition, and that's where the seat will be lost. The dems will keep their primary choices down to a trio, no matter how much strong-arming has to go on behind the scenes. Whitmer, Byrum...some screeching lefty broad, that's who I think is going to take this seat in the end. I've found myself less and less in agreement with Rogers as the years have gone by but I hate the idea that my Congressman is going to be some loonie lefty.
