Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore believes that whoever was responsible at General Motors for failing to recall a faulty ignition switch deserves death.
"I am opposed to the death penalty, but to every rule there is usually an exception, and in this case I hope the criminals at General Motors will be arrested and made to pay for their pre-meditated decision to take human lives for a lousy ten bucks," he wrote.
Moore blamed former President George W. Bush's transportation Department for ignoring the problem in 2007 and praised new GM CEO Mary Barra for telling the truth about the problem.

Classic liberal thinking. “This solution is unacceptable in all circumstances unless I deem it to be acceptable, in which case it’s allowable”
So do you, fat boy.
Remember when liberals shut down the use of DDT - eight months before the last mosquito would be killed off? Just the deaths from malaria alone would justify the deaths of most liberals...
That said, GM sucks...
This fat ass should be run out of town, Nothing but a liar and a fat one at that. Making millions off the backs of the stupid.
can my exception be mikey? if he gets them, i get exceptions too. and mi choose him, the fat bastard, yellow-journalism “film-maker”.
GM appoints a woman as CEO and SURPISE, they have to recall a couple of million cars. Now little missy can go in front of those mean old republicans and say....I didn't know..
When they appointed her I told my wife it was political and now I see why.
Added bonus...we all own GM so the cost for this fiasco had direct bearing on the fed budget.
...Someone should ask lard ass how many lives the government CAFE standards have caused?...
Someone should ask Lardass how many lives his precious socialist/communist buddies and their ideology have caused over the past century and a half.
...wouldn’t causing lives actually be a good thing...?
How much do these recalls have to do with the period of time where General Motors was a government-owned/run company....Government Motors?
You are indeed correct, Irish... I meant to type “cost”...
Damn... fat fingers strikes again...
C’mon you knee jerkers, just give you the Michael Moore hot button and you totally bail on the actual issue Moore brings up- corporate responsibility for their fkuc ups. Jeffrey Dahmer kills a half dozen people and he gets the clank hotel and a jailhouse assassination. CEO of Profit Line, Inc. kills a dozen people and gets a new yacht and a golden parachute. Something wrong with this and you know it.
does he eat too much? You hate to get personal, but he’s a hefty guy, and has gotten bigger over the years. It makes you wonder if he over indulges.
But, if he has health problems, he can go to Cuba and be treated there by their excellent communist healthcare system.
I agree. Anyone who knew that those cars could kill people is an accessory to the deaths. There's no room for thinking which allows an "acceptable level of risk" to protect the business.
It's GM in this case that justified Michael Moore's always-extreme stance about corporate evil.
I wonder how many people have been killed because thier car ran out of gas. This is a maintenance issue. People ignoring problems in their cars.
GM should appeal but they will choose to fold
There will be many more lawsuites now.
I’m surprised it took this long to blame Bush. That being said I hope they put the screws to G.M. They should not have been bailed out.
He wants to kill people at Government Motors?
Yes, but he is blaming Bush because the problem started in ‘07. Never mind that we have owned it since, was it ‘09 and El-Presidente has done nothing about the problem in all those years....
Oh, and Mikey says he’s against the death penalty; unless it is someone he disagrees with. Kind of like most libs, fascists and socialists....
Moore reminds me of the Monty Python character “Mr. Creosote,” that bloated glutton who shoveled all types of overly rich food into his face. Finally, Creosote, still unsated after consuming everything in sight, decided to have a desert mint. Michael, may I offer YOU, just one, wafer thin mint? BABOOOOOM! Problem solved.
This is an old leftist meme. A local leftist I know was saying the same thing years ago about unsafe vehicles. Funny how such peaceniks can suddenly become so bloodthirsty.
I am sorry, but this is not JUST caused by a faulty ignition switch.
All the ignition switch problems were caused by people who had too much weight on their key chain or people who ride the steering wheel with their knees hitting the ignition switch. When you hit the steering wheel or the keys pull enough, the car switches to the “accessories” position, killing the engine and losing power assist; the steering wheel was still moveable and the brakes still worked! The deaths were caused because people do not know how to drive cars without power steering and power brakes!
The first death in this entire situation was a woman not wearing her seatbelt, somehow caused the ignition switch to turn to the “accessories” position (which also turns off the airbags), lost control of her car (which it is my understanding from Driver’s Ed you must ALWAYS maintain control of your vehicle) and wrecked!
I am sorry for the loss of her life, but what if she had ran out of gas? Wouldn’t she lose power steering and power brakes? If she wrecked because she lost control of her vehicle due to running out of gas, would that death be less important to her family? Of course, because they couldn’t blame it on GM and they couldn’t get a large cash settlement from them?
Hey, Mike, Michigan ditched the death penalty in 1846.
If you had been showing up for history class at Davison High instead of stuffing yourself at Halo Burger or Big John’s Steak and Onion, perhaps you’d know that.
