Cruz Introduces Bill to Prevent Terrorists from Entering US as UN Ambassador

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced legislation on Tuesday, S. 2195, to prevent known terrorists from obtaining visas to enter the United States as ambassadors to the United Nations.

“It is unconscionable that, in the name of international diplomatic protocol, the United States would be forced to host a foreign national who showed a brutal disregard for the status of our diplomats when they were stationed in his country,” Cruz said.

Iranian President Hasan Rouhani recently named Hamid Aboutalebi as the nation’s new ambassador to the U.N., which is headquartered in Manhattan. A visa application to allow him to enter the United States has been duly filed.

Aboutalebi was a member of The Muslim Students Following the Imam’s Line, the group that held 52 Americans hostage in Tehran for 444 days from 1979-81. The organization is still active and his photo is currently featured on its official website that celebrates the hostage crisis.

I am a huge Cruz supporter/believer, but we all know that his boss Reid is never going to let any GOP bills come to the floor for a vote. The Gov is in LAME DUCK mode until Jan 20, 2017, and even that is a crap shoot.

Ted Cruz is 100% right on this. And I’ll bet a lot of Democratic senators quietly back him on this.

Further, I’ll bet Valerie Jarrett and her administration back the Iranian side.

How about blocking them on a student visa? Or as an illegal immigrant? Or as a student pilot only interested in taking off and not landing?

A better bill would be moving the UN out of the US -— how about to Tehran?

Which is why Cruz is suggesting such a bill. He knows it won’t go anywhere.

Bring him here to the US, welcome him, walk him to the street corner and hang him.
