You lie.

No, it isn’t a lie, as Rand Paul kicks off his presidential campaign, he came out with a statement calling for an end to the marriage fight, and on social issues, in other words, to change the GOP platform and politics in a move to the left.

“I think that the Republican Party, in order to get bigger, will have to agree to disagree on social issues,” Paul advised. “The Republican Party is not going to give up on having quite a few people who do believe in traditional marriage. But the Republican Party also has to find a place for young people and others who don’t want to be festooned by those issues.”

this ansel has a very polarized view of things. if you don’t oppose something in the exact manner it does, then you must be for that something. i gotta laugh.

i say (and so would Paul) that if we have a gummit big enough to force “gay marriage” then it is too damned big!

Paul: For GOP to Grow, It Must ‘Agree to Disagree on Social Issues’ Like Gay ‘Marriage’

Rand Paul is attempting to walk a reed-thin path of "personally opposed but we've got to be open-minded" on the subject of gay marriage. From the article ...

Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a potential presidential contender in 2016, said that for the Republican Party to grow and recruit more young people, it must “agree to disagree on social issues,” specifically homosexual “marriage.”

Paul also said he was happy with his endorsement of Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in the Kentucky GOP senatorial primary, adding that McConnell “is a good conservative.”

Paul made his remarks, as published on Mar. 14, in an interview with Vocativ.com, which was carried by GoPride.com, a portal for LGBT news and networking.

He made these comments for the GoPride audience. These are all losing positions for conservatism.
