Coulter: Mitt Romney in 2016; "Cruz A Disaster On Illegal Immigration"
Real Clear Politics ^ | 4/3/2014 | Staff

HOWIE CARR, HOST: Who are you for, for president right now, Ann?

ANN COULTER: Well, don't tell him but I'm planning on giving Mitt Romney a little more time to rest -- flying out, kidnapping him and depriving him of sleep, food and water until he agrees to run again.

CARR: You're kidding?

COULTER: No.

CARR: You really want him to run again?

COULTER: Yeah, I think he was a fantastic candidate. As I've told you before, he would have won by a larger landslide than Ronald Reagan did in 1980 without Teddy Kennedy's immigration bill. And it's basically impossible to beat an incumbent, but he is head and shoulders better than the other candidates we had. And I don't want to name them, but I mean you go through the list -- and for one thing, as you and I discussed, and this is the most important point, that all of your listeners have to tell all of their friends knock it off with the Congressmen or inspirational figures. It's got to be a Governor or a Senator, preferably a Governor. And, you know, there is a limited world -- a list of who those people are, and they all have problems. None of them are articulate and reasonable, and as good on immigration as Mitt Romney! CARR: What about Ted Cruz?

COULTER: Well, he's a lot worse on immigration.

CARR: Is he that bad? I didn't think he was that bad on immigration.

COULTER: Well, most Republicans are, that's why you need to call your Congressman. I'm not singling out Ted Cruz, he has the same position a lot of these idiots have. 'Oh yes, let them come here and we have a special permit, we just won't give them citizenship. But we want to increase ...

I think what Farmers Branch tried to do in banning illegals from renting property should be implemented in federal law. We could improve the law to some degree. It’s not perfect.

You and the moron from Tennessee need some serious reading comprehension lessons.

If you aren’t a Moron, how can you keep posting falsehoods, is it just dishonesty?

I corrected you about Mitt Romney, why not challenge those facts if you can.

Already addressed in Post #180:

My God man, quoting the NY Times to buttress your fallacious mutterings.

Here’s the real Cruz:

“Ted Cruz Vows To Oppose Any Path To Legalization for Undocumented Immigrants”

http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/politics/2013/04/02/ted-cruz-vows-to-oppose-any-path-to-legalization-for-undocumented-immigrants/

“Sen. Ted Cruz is dead set against any path to legalization for undocumented immigrants, unless it sends them on a detour back to their native countries, he told talk show host Sean Hannity in an interview on Monday.”
_____________________________

As far as the NY Times, I wouldn’t trust a word they say about Senator Cruz. They hate him and will do whatever they can to make others feel the same way.

this saddens me....both this and her pushing of Romney during the 2012 election.

she has changed.

Who cares whether they have to go visit the family before legalization—it’s still amnesty and still a killer for this country.

Coulter is wrong about Romney, but she’s unfortunately quite right about Cruz.

Ann was devoted to Romney in 2008 as well, not just 2012, and now, 2016.

The NY Times article has direct quotes from Cruz. Your article has NO DIRECT QUOTE that says what you want to think is Cruz’s position. Obviously there is confusion. So the other day I did something rational. I called Cruz office and I invite you to do the same thing. The guy who answered could NOT tell me Ted Cruz’s position on the issue. At the very least one should be suspect about that. I also sent an email asking his position and I am yet to hear back. I would just emphasize to read the quotes from the article’s. Not just the headline from the article writer. The only actual quotes from Cruz say that he wants illegals to stay. I called his office and they did NOT deny it. Until I personally hear him speak differently, that is what I believe is his heartfelt position. Doesn’t make him Satan, but I don’t agree with him.

Yeah sure, and there will be border enforcement to confront them when they come back. Oh, and their legal application will be stalled for decades.

Romney was and is a liar. But if that floats your boat, enjoy the mental sewage that his lies create for ya.

My link was from a TV interview. You believe a NY Times agent making direct quotes of someone they hate? Ok, there’s a forum for you somewhere on the internet, but it’s not here.

Mashes FR +1 button.

Furthermore, someone please forcefeed Ann a double bacon cheese burger, fries, and a milkshake... stat.

Good Lord. I knew Cruz had similarities that Obama has but I had no idea he was an alien lover too. Given illegals everything but citizenship surprises even myself who thinks Cruz is a fraud to begin with. The love affair on Cruz is over the top here. As people get to know him, they will find out he is not what he appears. There will be a ton of tears when they find out.

“Sen. Ted Cruz introduced an amendment to the current immigration bill back in May that would have removed the path to citizenship from the bill completely. But it also supported the same temporary legal status (RPI status) that is already in the bill that Sen. Marco Rubio has been discussing. And even more than that, it also supported permanent legal residency status as well.

“Now if you happen to believe that temp legal status is amnesty, as some of you have suggested, then I guess that means Ted Cruz supports amnesty. But that’s not what it is. It isn’t amnesty. It’s temporary legal status that can’t move on to permanent legal residency status without the border being secured. The whole point of temporary legal status is to get people out of the ‘shadows’, which is what Cruz says”

They loved Boehner until they didn’t. Paul Ryan was the apple of their eye, until he wasn’t. Jeb Bush was a champion until he wasn’t. The have the person of the moment and then another comes along.

Years ago here, she’d get nothing but praise.

I’m not giving up on her, you can’t put everything on one little measly interview, it’s like she had some sort of “out-of-it” moment or something.
