The Congressional Hispanic Caucus is done being patient. There was a time when an Oval Office meeting with President Obama could buy their silence. But no longer.
On Friday April 4, the CHC sent a six-page letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson demanding that Obama use "all legal means available" to "suspend, delay, or dispense with the deportations of immigrants who would qualify for legal status and protection under S. 744."
At no point does the letter bother to call for new legislation or the passage of S.744. Instead, the CHC just demands that Obama enforce current law as if he had already signed S.744.

No matter what happens in November, Obama still has his pen, his phone, and burning hatred for the USA. He will take care of them with executive orders.

Obama got away with breaking this law for the same reason he has gotten away with breaking uncountable other laws.
That reason is our corrupt media that backs him almost 100% on anything he does.

The majority of people do not closely follow politics and are uninformed on the minutia of what takes place in Washington

The media put Obama in office and has protected him for five years.

Todays (legal) immigrants may not be a gung-ho on America as their predecessors were in the 60s/70s/80s but for the most part still come to join 'our' way of life.
On the other hand, you are quite right that Illegal Aliens do not "share our values". They consider themselves foreign nationals, have no respect for the US sovereignty, or our law. Obviously, American values are held in equally low esteem.
How the White House responds to the amnesty lobbies demands will determine whether the democrats lose or lose huge.

The statement "all immigrants are bad" may have much truth to it put in correct context. Problem is anything that follows that statement will likely go unread.
Immigrants used to BECOME Americans, and it didn’t take long because they WANTED to become Americans. Sure there were enclaves, but they were usually competing with each other in the race for full normalization, full assimilation.
But that was back in the days when teachers had time only for the students and the subjects they were to teach. And many of those students read more and with greater comprehension in the fifth grade than college grads of today, and they went out and supported their families on that and later learning—nearly all of it for free.
The fault, in other words, is with US, not with the immigrants.
The “advocates” should be pressuring Mexico to make itself such that most Americans want to immigrate there.

No. Some immigrants ARE American. Those that obey the law to immigrate here, learn the language, and assimilate into our culture are definitely American. Yes. There are immigrants who do exactly that, which also proves they share our values.
This doesn’t mean I support illegal immigration or even legal immigration without strict standards that serve America first. It does mean I think you’re spouting nonsense when you make a blanket statement that millions of legal immigrants not Americans.
