And debtors prisons are illegal.
Yet it happens alll the same.
The fedzilla won’t be happy until there are bodies.
You think this is going to play out like the movie ‘Red State’? Or Waco? In the movie the DEA wanted to arrest a Fred Phelps-type character, and at Waco they wanted David Koresh (although they could have picked him up easily in town).
If they executed on a lien they claim for unpaid grazing fees by taking Bundy’s cattle and (like Henry VIII in northern England) have finished punishing the rebellious peasants, and if they have Bundy in custody, I suppose the question real journalists would be asking (if we had any) is, why are they still there?
If they have been ordered to confront and harass the Bundys and their supporters over the next several days, just to make an impression, as you seem to think, that could be unfortunate for all of us. I have a lot more in common with the Bundys than this federal agency, and I believe most of us do after six years of overreaching by Washington DC.
“And debtors prisons are illegal.”
Only true if you don’t owe the government.
