This Incredible New Footage Shows How Close Bundy Standoff Came To A Massacre

The inside story of how one New Yorker may have kept the Bundy protestors from a bloody end

Documentary filmmaker Dennis Michael Lynch was at the Bundy Ranch front line and has never seen that type of force at the border where drugs and people are routinely smuggled across.

No, but there will come a day when disenchanted Americans decide that they have more in common with religious zealots -- even foreign ones -- than they do with the @ssholes who run our government.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. The infamous "John Doe #2" from the Oklahoma City bombing is probably the best example of this sort of connection at work.

How far have we fallen?

Well, few on the left seem surprised that the IRS has been targeting Tea Party folks. They rather seem to like the idea.

Our lawmakers do all sorts of horrible things and get away with it. Repeatedly...especially under this administration, but it’s happened before this.

So this isn’t shocking to me. It would have once, but not anymore.

That’s how far.

“They ( BLM ) were out flaked in the bottom of a river bed. They were going to be slaughtered. The professional conduct and mercy of the militia is what saved those men.
It looked like they were set up to be killed by their handlers so the full power of the federal government could be deployed.”

I noted the tactical setup in the live thread, as it was happening.

The BLM/Metro SWAT were covered on three sides and from above by numerous rifles, with scoped rifles farther back. The only egress was through a wide wash, deeper into the desert, where the horses and 4 wheelers could have easily run them down.

Reinforcement was several miles away, where LVPD/LVSD was staging a large number of jail busses and vans, as well as a command center and tactical response unit. They would have had to force their way down the highway.

One vid shows a rifle team in the parking area to the right of the bridges covering a sniper team on the high bluff to the right. They were likely covered by at least three rifle teams in the bridge area.

The large number of vids posted to twitter as this was happening, and now on Youtube paint a bad picture for the feds.

What is even better, the supporters took up these positions pretty much without leadership it seems, or being told where to go. They just found a useful spot.

The Fed judge that signed this order needs to be brought to heel. When he signed this he knew it wasn’t right and it could blow up into a political hot potato. He wrote it as a permissive order for the BLM to carryout with the Sheriffs help. Given contracts, Federal land, and asset forfeiture it would have been the U.S. Marshall’s Service to service and enforce. But, the judge did not want the court to be involved and therefore gave it to BLM so it would no be seen as a court action. This is telling and this judge should be questioned. Federal judges are political beast. Was he compromised by Dingy Harry? What other similar orders did he sign in the past? Did Harry push his confirmation to the Federal bench through?

What happens when a couple score JBTs throw up their hands and surrender?

The concept of “parole” for combatants is unlikely to be respected in the 21st century — but they would have to be released.

The officer will likely be pilloried, or far worse, for this.

But, his men did get to walk out, or choose to stay, after the locals fed them a meal, that they hadn’t had in three days.

To me it was also a very telling statement when he said the ONLY journalists there was Fox News, that he expected to see the parking lot full with ABC/CBS/CNN/NBC trucks and there were NONE. Just one Fox News van. Hell, look how many show up when Puxatawney Phil Groundhog comes out of February 2nd to see his shadow!

The media is so much more than despicable! They gave us Obama and have actively supported ruining our culture and great country for decades!

Folks, just remember, it is not only our democrat government and the bureaucrats who hate us, but the press, too.

They are joined at the hip to Obama. Understand that they hate us just as he does. They would love to have seen us die in the desert, I absolutely believe.

If there is ever a day of reckoning, these bastards in big DNC media need to be included.

You can bet your ass that the Government planned to murder all the Bundys on some pretext. The news of what they were doing just got out too quick and all of a sudden there were too many witnesses over too wide an area for them to neutralize quickly. Then they lost control of the situation and decided to regroup. But, just as sure as Monday follows Sunday, they will be back to finish what they started.

The next time, they’ll set up their own person, to shoot one of their own, claiming it was a Bundy person.

...haven’t gone over 450 yards with it never had to try to shoot further...

That's the thing when this comes down to the real world. People can (and do) fantasize about sniper chic, 1400-yard shots with .338 Lapuas and .50 BMG from ridge to ridge in Afghanistan, but for a local who knows the terrain and is within 400 yards, get real, that's a deer-rifle shot my teen-age neighbor kids make all the time. From concealment, yes, because that's how you hunt.

That's who the feds need to be worried about, not a bunch of militia types in matching camo. Not that there's anything wrong with matching camo. ;-)

Good point.

The whole Federal government is getting increasingly bad with math, I notice, whether it’s dollars or statistics.

BLM and the FS typically spend far more managing their grazing programs than they collect in grazing fees.

For example, the GAO determined that in FY2004, the agencies spent about $132.5 million on grazing management, comprised of $58.3 million for the BLM and $74.2 million for the FS.

These figures include expenditures for direct costs, such as managing permits, as well as indirect costs, such as personnel. The agencies collected $17.5 million, comprised of $11.8 million in BLM receipts and $5.7 million in FS receipts."

So, like the old joke goes, they lose money at a 3:1 rate - but make it up in volume.

Yes. I'll wager that Dan Love, BLM Special Agent In Charge, Region 3, is BESIDE himself that mere peasants pushed him and his men around.

Can you imagine - YEARS of making the peasants crawl, and finally some of them stand up on their hind legs, and talk back?
