It can be....for those with no coping mechanisms. As can almost any perceived negative factor focused on obsessively. The thing is, if your coping mechanisms are so lacking, and your mental strength so frail...there is already something wrong with you.Not buying what you are selling. In fact, the idea that anyone would equate mere words with facing bombs and guns and watching your comrades die is obscene. Get a grip.

On a separate subject, why is their always so much ridicule of peoples physical appearance, especially women, it seems to me, here? Remind me never to post my picture on Free Republic.Seriously?

Sarcastically.
I just get tired of the constant ridicule of people’s physical appearance, especially aspects of it they can’t help, also the sexually oriented digs. This thread seems to have a lot of them.

Repeating what you said indeed is hate speech to a lot of these people. It’s one of their favorite games.

Oh, I have a grip. I also have met modern teenagers and others who have never grown up, and see what simple silliness makes them lose their minds.

I agree in general, especially with physical form...but that said, she has issues strong enough it appears to be visible in her eyes, which is not about physical form or deformity.

Whoa. That picture should be next to the word “psycho” in the dictionary!!
How’s about having enough presences of mind to just delete the Twitter account. No cash in that, though.

You are so right that it must hurt! LOL. If she is such a strong female.. why should some negative comments destroy her itty bitty psyche? She’d be the first one to DEMAND women be on the front lines of real battle.. yet she crumbles at some harsh comments? I can’t decide if the comparison to her and the military (who truly may suffer from PTSD from their service) is rude, stupid or just plain nutty.

I know 2 ex-trauma nurses who are deeply haunted by the things they’ve seen - to the point that they could no longer work trauma. Is it PTSD? I’m no doctor, but it sure seems like some kind of stress disorder.

Only if they were an Executive making a higher middle class living before the disability for at least five years according to Social Security.
For an average earner SSD is usually not enough to live on unless there is another breadwinner or another disability from State, Military, or private insurance.

I take your point, but really, are you defending this woman's quite obviously negative attention-seeking appearance?
