To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco.
Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship."
The Democratic leader's ceremony coincides with Pope Francis' similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week. As he did last year, the pope broke with the tradition of washing only priests' feet during the Mass for the Last Supper - this time, washing the feet of disabled people.

So, this Bishop Marc Andrus is encouraging someone who is ex-communicated to perform a religious ritual on faithful supplicants?
It sounds like the bishop is “in variance” with church doctrines. The trouble is that it is unlikely that he is in variance in just this way. Such behavior indicated that he is on the border of heterodoxy, if not outright heresy.
I hope the majority of those who see the article notice that as well. Unfortunately, they probably won't. Most people see a photo like that and "Catholic" lodges in their subconscious, which is probably exactly what the photographer had in mind.
I've decided Pelosi and a good many other public figures who claim to be Catholic (or who claim to be part of any other Christian church for that matter) aren't even a "Cafeteria Catholic", they're "Flag of Convenience" Catholics.
Just like ships use a flag of convenience to maximize the benefits of owning a ship, Nancy, and a great many other public figures like her are flying the Catholic flag of convenience to maximize the benefits of ownership for their owner, Satan.
By now, claiming to be Catholic probably isn't much help in attracting and keeping voters on her side. It adds tremendously to the benefits her owner receives from ownership, though, by being a powerful publicly mockery of both Christianity in general and the Catholic Church in particular.
My bet is a lot of "flag of convenience Christians" are in fact devout Satanist of one flavor or another and looking forward to eternity based on the promises demons have made to them.
And yes, there are Satanists (no matter whether they realize they're Satanists or not) deluded enough by "light bearers" and "enlightened beings" to sincerely believe they'll be eternally rewarded for slandering and mocking Christianity.
