We need a Dr. Welby there, and her name is close enough.

Obviously a fire and brimstone Republican would be better, but that’s not an easy task in a state like Oregon. At the very least, she may well be able to force the Dems to supply money to what would normally be a no-brainer race.

Republicans back in Washington think they’ve found the right candidate in Monica Wehby

That makes me nervous...

Conger has virtually declared war on Lars Larson, who is easily one the most popular conservative radio hosts with a three hour regional and a three hour national show five days a week.

Lars Larson asked Conger questions about his law firm making money off of the Oregon version of obamacare, which he voted for. Conger cannot seam to get around to answering the question.

If you’re a conservative in Oregon and cannot get Lars Larson on your side, you are toast. Fighting Lars Larson doomed his campaign, IMHO, the day he declared that he would never go on Lars’ show ever again.

Conger also voted for the Columbia River Crossing bridge that included light rail and would actually reduce the volume of cars that could use it and create a huge toll for users.

Conger also voted for a convention center in Portland that would never make money and would compete with the private sector.

I know Jason Conger and like him a lot. He lives in my district. His voting record leaves a lot to be desired if you are a serious conservative, as I am.

As for him being slightly more against abortion that Wehby is will not matter unless you think the republicans are going to run on repealing Roe v. Wade.

Conger is right on gun control and abortion. I think Wehby is also. She’s going to have at least five times the money to finance her campaign as Conger. I predict Wehby will win the nomination going away.
