EXCLUSIVE--TEXAS AG ABBOTT TO BLM: 'COME AND TAKE IT'
Breitbart ^ | April 22, 2014 | By Bob Price

Posted on 04/22/2014 1:56:16 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

After Breitbart Texas reported on the U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) intent to seize 90,000 acres belonging to Texas landholders along the Texas/Oklahoma line, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott questioned the BLM’s authority to take such action.

“I am about ready,” General Abbott told Breitbart Texas, “to go to go to the Red River and raise a ‘Come and Take It’ flag to tell the feds to stay out of Texas.”

Gen. Abbott sent a strongly-worded letter to BLM Director Neil Kornze, asking for answers to a series of questions related to the potential land grab.

“I am deeply concerned about the notion that the Bureau of Land Management believes the federal government has the authority to swoop in and take land that has been owned and cultivated by Texas landowners for generations,” General Abbott wrote. “The BLM’s newly asserted claims to land along the Red River threaten to upset long-settled private property rights and undermine fundamental principles—including the rule of law—that form the foundation of our democracy. Yet, the BLM has failed to disclose either its full intentions or the legal justification for its proposed actions. Decisions of this magnitude must not be made inside a bureaucratic black box.”

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart Texas, General Abbott said, “This is the latest line of attack by the Obama Administration where it seems like they have a complete disregard for the rule of law in this country ...And now they’ve crossed the line quite literally by coming into the State of Texas and trying to claim Texas land as federal land. And, as the Attorney General of Texas I am not going to allow this.”

Come on down and make your claim, BLM. Bunkerville is gonna look like a really small affair when you do. The Red River strip will have a sudden population explosion of riled up Texans.

“...supposedly gives them power over deeded ground, not to mention endangered species...”

As far as Texas and AG Abbott is concerned, the BLM IS THE ENDANGERED SPECIES WHEN THEY MESS WITH TEXAS. (Just a minute while I get my PINK rifle with the multiple cartridge magazine).

"Agenda 21. that’s your ultimate answer."

Bingo! It took 49 posts before someone finally got it right. That's all this is, and to salve their damaged egos after Bundy whipped their asses.

"That bureaucracy is illegally imposing that treaty on the American people. What they are doing is both sedition and treason."

Yabut they and their NGO minions march on year after year.

Abbot’s going to need a recoil-less rifle and a SAW for backup.

"If you think you got the hosses, bud, come try to take it !!"

Respectfully, I think you forgot the "But you'd best bring a lunch, 'cause it's gonna be an awful long day" part.

Those guys don't want to be between Texas and Oklahoma...

Greg has got a titanium set-people like Greg Abbot are why my family has lived in Texas for 250 years. DC needs Texas far more than Texas needs DC-I wish that relationship would be undone...

Does anyone know if any of this proposed take is on the OK side. The current
boundary is all over the place when looking at various maps.

Look at the boundary East and West of Vernon, Tx.

The BLM does need to be eliminated, the Forest Service has overstepped as well in many cases so they need to either be reined in or eliminated. Not sure how we could get Congress to do it, Harry Reid will never even let it be discussed in the Senate...

It may not have anything to do with the boundaries, might be the water, which they claim to “manage.” I think the BLM should not be in charge of toilet paper, much less “all the land...” that is BS but they have used their power against private land owners many times using the cause of “wet lands.” I read a story the other day about a man that was put into jail for trying to create a wetland habitat on private property that was no part of a wetland to begin with. It was a crazy story where when it went to court they were using the same arguments against the man that they used when they accused someone of damaging a wetland that was already there. They made it work the man actually was convicted and sent to jail for violating their made up rules. It is sheer insanity. I do believe if they tackle Texan land owners in Texas they will get their hat handed to them.

Elect yourself a Constitutional sheriff in your county and these Nazi federal goons will be marched straight to hell.

I am praying for our Military to take a page out of the Egyptian’s Playbook.

There is more than enough justification for Obama’s being taken into custody by our military. The same can be said for any number of “high ranking officials” in his regime.

Time for the States respectively, or the people to reclaim the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, not prohibited by it to the States.

If the central government isn't going to abide by the limitations of the Constitution and the clear expressed confirmation of power in the Tenth Amendment, then the States and people thereof must do so.
