“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” he said. Mr. Bundy recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, “and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.
“And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?” he asked. “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”
def’n: racism is an intentional, purposeful difference in treatment of two individuals based soley on superficial, outward racial characteristics (e.g., skin color).
and, mr hannity and his apologists, exactly how does mr bundy’s rhetorical question pointing out the similarity in the gov’t’s current enslavement of blacks via entitlement with it’s previous enslavement via law constitute a difference or even a belief in the rightness of differential treatment between himself and blacks (or any other race)? the logic or reason of mr. hannity’s position eludes me.
in fact, it seems to me that mr. bundy is rightly pointing out that it is the leftist that is the real racist, continuing to purpose and execute his statist brand of racism via institutionalization of gov’t dependence targeted at various racial and ethnic groups.

Before today, the news didn’t want to report on this, now they will. Now they will.
I’m trying to keep up, too, but I’m confused. What was in this new BLM contract that he objected to? Was it an increase in fees? That seems to me like a landlord raising the rent and if the tenant can’t pay, he moves somewhere else. Or was there something else? And what’s with all this turtle nonsense? This story just kind of blew up on my radar recently and I’m kind of playing catch up.

The feds aren't the aholes; neither is Bundy. The feds are doing their job and Bundy is getting out of paying for grazing on land that he doesn't own. It's not rocket science or anything more dramatic than a CHEAPSKATE who doesn't want to pay his bills.

That's probably right but the big picture still remains regardless of what one thinks about Cliven Bundy: the BLM and its squad of obama/holder thugs is most assuredly guilty.
