Illinois is the worst, according to the people who live there.

A new Gallup poll is out with information about how people who live in states feel about these states. So now we know that people in Montana really, really like living in Montana, while people in Illinois and Rhode Island are pretty sure they don’t live in one of the best places in the country.

I live in this god forsaken state. I’m about 350 miles south of Chicago, at the edge of the Shawnee National Forest. It is very beautiful down here. But other than the natural land, the rest of life here is tough. No jobs, high taxes, crime and tons of government and government fraud. Illinois is a failed state, beholding to Democrats and the suffering that entails.

I live in So. Ill and have never voted for a (D)Marxist for anything, ever. A whole different world from Chicago (the rest of the state). I ask the same questions. More often than not, they say Republican. We get outvoted by Chicago, plain and simple.

I’m from Missouri with a good stint in Kansas.

I have spent a lot of time in Chicago in the last fifteen years. It is one of the few big cities I find worthwhile. I like the people. I like downstate as well, but haven’t gotten to spend that much time there.

Chicago is a city permanently hijacked by a crime machine but they seem to not care. That is the problem with a lot of the nation, good people that don’t care about the nation or its government. We are an affluent society decaying.

Take a look at an electoral map of Illinois by county. Prepare to be surprised. It only takes 5 counties out of over 100 to win statewide office here. It’s a mess. Mrs. L and I can’t wait to get the hell out of Illionois. 5 more years, 5 more lousy years and we are GONE.
