I'm merely trying to point out that there are OTHER factors that influence a voter other than a candidates record or stand.
And RELIGION is a BIG factor with many voters; on the Conservative side of the aisle anyway.

You’re right about what you said there, though. I think the point may have been misunderstood. It will be curious to see what the end results of the general election in UT-4 are. If Mia Love wins in a landslide, the worries about an order coming down to vote for someone further up the LDS hierarchy (White/Male) will be unfounded. If she wins by an unimpressive margin or actually loses, the point will have validity.
I have to say there may be a point to the argument given that Love SHOULD have won by a fair margin in that district and in that year. It would be curious to see what her % of the vote was amongst LDS voters. As for any potential LDS intrigue where this race was concerned, I’ll yield to you folks on that subject.
