Even the ‘Wise Latina’ is jumping on the race-baiting bandwagon.
She giggled when her college buddies suggested her kind doesn't interpret law, they twist it to conform to their worldview. Jurisprudence...ha!

Some people are born stupid. It is sad so many of such are in government.

On a positive note, Sotomeyer just might have caused the demise of Affirmative Action.

The incompetance of a liberal is almost without measure.
The incompetance of a quota liberal is indeed without measure.

It’s an arrogance of worldview that rejects any assertions of people from the past because they “lack the experience” of the modern person.
Remember when she was being selected? Over and over again we heard of her “compelling life story”, as if that had anything to do with the objective requirements for a USSC justice.

"As members of the judiciary tasked with intervening to carry out the guarantee of equal protection, we ought not sit back and wish away, rather than confront, the racial inequality that exists in our society. It is this view that works harm, by perpetuating the facile notion that what makes race matter is acknowledging the simple truth that race does matter." What an arrogant and non-sensical statement. First, who would be the ultimate judge on how much was equal or fair? Would it be based upon national population? Regional? Local?
Her second sentence is rediculously ambiguous. Is she saying that acknowledging that race matters is working harm or just the opposite? Was she drinking when she wrote this tripe? If she wished to officially acknowledge that race matters, then she has just indicated that Government is racially biased and that is unconstitutional.
This broad should be impeached.

Yes, the late George Orwell saw it coming. It is hard to imagine Orwell expressing surprise or shock at the willingness -- the eagerness -- of a political faction to tie facts into bowlines and square knots while claiming brazenly to be doing just the opposite. A society without a moral center -- ours, for instance -- is up for grabs. The shouters have only to shout more loudly than anyone else.Yes, Orwell might have characterized such nonsense as doubleplusgood duckspeak. Haunting how clear was his vision.
I urge all Freepers to read/reread 1984.

One of my favorites sayings is: “You may be entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.”
Sotomayor is a disgraceful excuse for a judge, much less a Supreme Court Justice.
To: Kaslin
So we have a Supreme Court Justice who doesn’t acknowledge that race-based privileges are illegal, wrong, and unconstitutional.

Loosen up, FRiends - cut the “wise Latina Female” some slack.
How would you like to go through life fat, ugly to the bone, and knowing your presence on SCOTUS is because of Affirmative Action?
