Santorum Calls Out GOP on Its Biggest Failing(no...he doesn't get it)

Rick Santorum refuses to be dismissed as just another also-ran. The former Pennsylvania senator, a 2012 contender for the GOP presidential nomination, told a conservative gathering in Manhattan on Monday night that there’s a simple reason the Republican Party failed in its try for the White House in the last two presidential elections.

The GOP, he said, fell into a pit. It became “disconnected from most Americans, who didn’t think the Republican Party cared about them.”

I’m sure Rick sees it that way because of the way the class war mongers in this state cleaned his clock in the campaign against Bob Casey.

What do you mean by giving road kill a bad name? Heck, in 24 hours I’ve read two freepers chewing on that GOP carcass. They seemed actually to have proceeded to swallow.

Santorum deserved to have his clock cleaned after he supported Spectre over Toomey. Unfortunately, as one who participated in the cleaning, I have to say —— I don’t think it was very successful.

“There are some in my party who have taken the ideal of individualism to such an extreme that they have forgotten the obligation to look out for our fellow man,” he writes.

Rick, where in the Constitution does it authorize Fedzilla to take from one man and give to his fellow man?

“Some libertarian-leaning capitalists have become so frustrated with government that they want to eliminate federal agencies and officials responsible for enforcing the law.”

Agencies, laws and regulations that are unconstitutional to begin with.

So true. The GOP is not interested in restoring the Constitutional Republic. They are interested in preserving their place at the Progressive table. They don’t mind if they are relegated to a forever out of office minority party. They just want to keep drinking at the trough.

This country has gone way beyond the ballot box. Now the govt is trotting out the Glenn Beck’s to cry “don’t revolt, don’t resist” because they know the people are finally waking up and have had a stomach full. The Bundy ranch standoff was just the tipping point. The revolt has started.

I completely agree that Santorum’s “solution” - move to the Left - is completely wrong.

However, I disagree that the Republican “base” stayed home in 2012.

4.2 million white voters stayed home in 2012 compared to 2008.

But, Mitt Romney got 1 million MORE votes than John McCain.

However, Obama’s vote total went DOWN 3.6 million in 2012.

Conclusion:

Essentially all the white voters who stayed home in 2012 voted for Obama in 2008.

Rick Santorum refuses to be dismissed as just another also-ran.

As an incumbent Senator, he was kicked out of office by a larger margin than Christine O'Donnell lost her non-incumbent race by, Santorum lost by a whopping 17.3%

I don’t want to represent people who just want to know “I care about them”. Conservatives care more by protecting people’s FREEDOM! What is so hard about this Rick?

Specter assumed room temperature within a couple of years. Toomey did replace him as a Senator. Bob Casey is approaching Year Nine of rubber-stamping everything on the Democrat wet dream list.

Yeah, that did not work out well at all.

Santorum is also a former “Senate Loser”, in addition to a Presidential
Candidate.
