Obviously the police were useless. What’s the issue with using the army? I thought that was the plan all along. Armored forces moved south at least a month ago. The army had to have been in the area. Once the police just stood buy and allowed the Russian provocateurs to do what they wanted, the army was up at bat.

Sad to see this happening...because Kiev is using their army Russia will likely send troops in outright...all because the IMF/Eu/US threatened to withhold agreed amount for Kiev's bailout.

They told them if they didn't fight they would “redesign “ the deal. So they reconstructed their rules of engagement for their military so that they could go into the east and reclaim the cities under the protesters control.

The IMF threatened to revoke the $17B loan “should \Kiev lose control over the east.”

That means today’s attack is condition of bailout package.

Under their constitution they cannot use troops in battle unless there is a declaration of war......

They reconstructed their rules of engagement to go in after the IMF threatened to “redesign” the bailout to Kiev Gov...told them they had to fight. Which is blackmail.

I’m not sure that will happen. Ukraine did a credible job as well as others of proving that Russia was behind the issues in the East.

IMO, this gives Russia the EXACT excuse that Obama used in Libya to declare a “No-Fly Zone”, and then bomb every Ukrainian soldier east of the Dnieper.

This wasn’t smart.

That’s the whole idea of rousting them out in the early morning. Hopefully the Ruskis will be rolled up fast.

The Russian leaning locals call it Slavyansk. They are apparently being attacked on May1, by the Kiev coup, who call it “Slovyansk”. And a bunch of decent innocent people are caught helpless in the middle.
Just like the last time Nazis attacked there. And just like last time, there will certainly be a Russian counter attack. And the locals will be caught up in that too.

By the time its done, we will have NATO deciding to fight a war with Russia somewhere around Kursk. All so the EU can avoid market conditions for gas that they imposed on them selves. They don’t like Russian conditions, so instead of drilling, prevailing upon Obama to drill, building more nukes and coal, they are moving to politically gain control of the Russian gas industry.

Of course, in this eastern front reenactment, the EU will barely lift a finger, and the USA will wind up in this insanity. Will Germans fight in Ukraine? What a joke, they’ll all go into paralytic, catatonic guilt induced shock. The British? They actually have more Generals than they do tanks,,,Literally! The French? Yeahhhh sure.

But no matter what form this takes, the one thing nobody gives a tinkers damn about is the well-being of the average Ukrainian. The EU wants gas and NATO advancing to the Russian border. Russia wants a buffer from Euro invasions. All wax holy about Ukraine, as they both will blow the place to smithereens.

Oh,, and im sure along the way Obama will declare a national emergency, and we will all have wage and price controls and rationing. And a draft to build up forces to,,(can’t believe im saying this) fight on the eastern front.

The Russians will have to bomb the cities. The polls already show that the majority of Ukrainians don’t want anything to do with the Russians. Bombing the cities won’t help. Those are high density areas the way the apartments buildings are stacked on top of each other.

...”That means today’s attack is condition of bailout package”....

That’s exactly right..it’s called blackmail no matter how you color it. Using the word “redesign” isn’t hiding the obvious.

I don’t know how this will play out now...they really can’t engage their military unless there’s a declaration of war. But they’ve jiggled their laws to accamodate this use now.

Remember before they used “special” forces when they said the protesteers were “terrorits”...another attempt to bypass their military laws .

Am truly afraid Putin might not sit for this for very much longer....someone is wanting a major war...and IMO it isn’t putin but rather too much is being made known of the US/Eu backdoor deals and they are going to have to cover themselves somehow...a war would do that.

I’m so distressed about what our gov leaders have done in Ukraine...they always think they can control a situation when it gets chaotic..and it backfired every time as history attests to. They knew they were going up against Russia and that ain’t no Kosovo or Libya!!!

Relax. Ukraine will have more proof that the provocateurs are Russian agents. Putin just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

Ukrainian forces reclaiming government buildings and removing Separatist thugs and Russian GRU off Ukrainian territory. Problem is, the Russians have been waiting for this attack which they provoked in the first place. We’ll see what happens next.

I’ afraid you’re right....not sure Putin will stand by on this latest incursion with Kiev Military forces....calling it a terrorist operation isn’t going to work this time around...not using the army..which is confirmed and official.
