Or he was screwed up on drugs.
Plausible deniability.
Makes sense.
Adiós credibility.
Or he simply had a “hot date” with a body man that he didn’t want to miss.
and there was no one in the situation room who called the president to tell him to get his ass down there
“Had Obama went....”
should be Had Obama gone....hate to be the grammar police but since you are posting a vanity I figured I would treat you the same way I treat columnists. ;)
Was there a basketball game on that night?
As vanities go, this is a very good one my FRiend :-)
The ONLY scenario that makes ANY sense is that Amb. Stevens was to have been kidnapped and then exchanged for the Blind Sheik.
Thats why there was no defense in the first place and that is why the heros who did fight were told to stand down and not get involved.
And of course it explains why there was no rescue attempt, AND why Clinton and BO called it a night.
Why would the Kenyan want this US Amb. dead?
That is the question.
1. If the U.S. government was using the diplomatic personnel in Libya as a front for an operation to ship weapons to the rebels in Syria, he'd need deniability in the event the cover was blown and the administration wanted to hang the State Department and CIA leaders out to dry by treating it as a rogue operation.
2. The guy isn't bright enough to run a lemonade stand, so there's no reason to have him involved in anything more complicated than a scripted TV appearance with a teleprompter.
As Commander in Chief he could send those people to their deaths. If he had any humanity he would have stood by them in the situation room as the executed his orders. He knows that ...maybe...
This, of course, is the huge question, that never gets asked. Where was he? Why wasn’t he in the situation room?
Here’s mine. He wanted no part of Benghazi from the moment it happened, made himself scarce. I have always wondered why he didn’t take advantage of one of the greatest political moments in history. Weeks before a presidential election he could have had a BinLaden sequel. POTUS in sit room, cameras rolling, giving the GO to troops to rescue an American ambassador. It would have been a lock on his second term. Something was way more important.
I think he wasn't there simply because he is lazy and unfocused. He just didn't care enough to take charge.
During at least one critical hour of the attack, we can place him: He and Biden were on the phone with Netanyahu. Immediately after, we have photos of Biden, Obama and some of his gargoyles, so we can time it pretty closely.
Check out theconservativetreehouse.com, the timeline there is excellent.
Sure is a lot of red meat out there.
It’s like an unlit match in a 98% oxygen atmosphere.
As Ralph Peters said this morning “Obama is a COWARD”.
That’s what I think too. Teflon Prez, can’t be near trouble for fear he’ll have to make a decision. Such a mom-jeans guy.
