Tea party on life support after brutal primary beatdown
The Washington Times ^ | May 21,2014 | S.A. Miller

Posted on 05/21/2014 7:07:06 AM PDT by Biggirl

Support for the tea party has dropped to an all-time low, said a new CBS News poll released Wednesday. Just 15 percent of Americans told the pollsters that they are supporters of the tea party movement today, which is less than half the level of support at its peak of 31 percent in November 2010 shortly after the midterm election when the movement fueled a landslide Republican win to take majority control of the House.

I dunno about this.

There is not a focused national tea party.

Yet.

I’m still a tea partier.

The fact that I don’t belong to any official tea party group doesn’t mean squat.

So a couple well entrenched establishment RINOs beat small time candidates by a few points in a primary and this spells the end end of the Tea party? They wish.

Oh please... Tea Party is an Idea. And the Principles the Tea Party stands for are controlling the political narrative.

um, no...

When they INCUMBANT has to spend $millions to KEEP HIS SEAT and still lost 40% of the vote, it sends a clear message.

Don't tell me McDoofus was not sweating it out last night

By that logic, the GOP-E would have been on life-support after the primaries last week.

Right. This seems to be another “let’s get in a preemptive strike, and cement our narrative in the minds of our readers” effort. Sad that it’s coming from teh Washington Times, though...

It seems here in Georgia last night we didn’t fare so well. I can only chalk it up to Republican voter ignorance about RINOs and their desire to beat the Democrats in November. Republicans here came out in numbers nearly 2:1 over Democrats yesterday, yet is seems we are left with a field of choices that comprise mostly what I’d call RINOs.

It is disheartening.

That is correct. When the establishment has to spend millions to defeat an unknown they have a serious problem. What this tells those that don’t like big government is that big government don’t like us.

The republican party is on life support. The leadership attacks those who put them in power. The republican party is about to do a Denver Broncos imitation.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I believe strongly that the Tea Party needs to come out strongly for American jobs.

Now.

Talk about it constantly.

Rally people about the economy. We have sold out America for the entire last generation.

The Tea Party can run very, very successfully on firing up Americans about American jobs.

The dems aren’t doing it. The GOP isn’t doing it. Everyone is sending every American job they possibly can, out of America.

Be for American jobs Tea Party.

American jobs.
