I don’t live in Kentucky, but to any Republican who lives in Kentucky, this should be a simple decision. When the next Supreme Court Justice is on the line, who would you like casting your vote? Mitch McConnell or Alison Grimes?

Cutting your nose off to spite your face is usually a bad idea.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Precisely.

Especially since Obama and company have been bypassing Congress and doing everything through executive fiat or through the courts.

Thank you. I was afraid this thread wouldn't have any Stupid Party, lesser-of-two-evils, fear mongers.

You get the government you vote for. Rewarding bad behavior gets you more bad behavior.

Spineless sellouts like Mitch McConnell are spineless sellouts because the voters vote for the Mitch McConells.

And until all of the slow children figure that out, the Stupid Party will continue to run the Bob Doles, Juan McCains, and Myth Romneys. The Boners, Cantors, and McConnells will remain entrenched.

"With one GOP vote, Kagan wins Senate Panel." So how did voting Stupid Party help for this SCJ?

And of course Sotomayor found a GOP senator to vote for too.

And of course Lindsay Graham voted to support the nom too

Cutting your nose off to spite your face is usually a bad idea.

so is ignoring the dangers of cancerous tumors and encouraging them to grow.

When the next Supreme Court Justice is on the line...

Oh, we're way past that concern...at least since June 28, 2012.

Please point to anything that makes you think McConnell will stand up to Obama. Obama has been beating the Republicans like a rented mule, and all they do is cower, and attack their base. They are simply not going to find a spine after the next election just because they have the majority. They will continue to lose fights to Obama, but they will be able to control the voting so they will be able to hide behind show votes, and all other sorts of chicanery, doing Obama’s bidding but giving them the ability to claim they are standing up to him. I wish I had an ounce of faith, but the fact is, Obama will get anyone he wants on the Supreme Court whether the Republicans are in charge or the Democrats.

Don’t think I’d vote for Mitch after he trashed me and bragged about
crushing me.

Think I’d pass.

Plus McConnell already has tools to stop Obama nominations.
He is just too weak or afraid to use them.

Well, given that Mitch, John McCain, Lindsey Graham would rather confirm liberal judges vs. fight against them, especially when it comes to Supreme Court Justices, I'd say I'd rather have a Tea-Party Senator or no Republican at all.

Given the past GOP-E Senator voting patterns where Supreme Court justices are concerned, I'd say that was a pretty stupid thing for you to post.

Neither. I would prefer President Cruz nominates Mark Levin and he tells the Senate to piss off.

The choice this November isn't only about the next USSC justice of course, it's about whether we continue -- as I have done so for decades, but never again -- to elect non-conservatives/RINOs/GOPEs and other "conservatives of convenience" who are taking our Republic down slowly or to sit back and watch as the Democrat-Socialists take it down a little more quickly.

I think faster is better if we are to save our Republic and the Constitution. This is the only way to get the attention of people who are so busy working to pay their 50 percent-plus taxes -- a big slap across the wallet ... quickly!

Of course "conservatives" like Hewitt, Medved, et al. who are focused only on short-term victories no matter how hollow, principles-wise, the victors are, together with the MSM/Democrat-Socialists who are celebrating Tuesday's results, disagree with me. So be it.

Do you honestly think that McConnell, McStain and Graham are going to deny their friends across the aisle any supreme court nominee? Did they deny Clinton any? No.

In reality you are the one cutting off your nose. You want conservatives but are willing to keep on voting for the liberals the gope trot out each election with the promise “well set things straight after we win...” When has that happened? You and the gope have preached this since 1988 and has anything changed? No.

What is the definition of insanity???
