I am petrified by past results in Indiana, Delaware & Missouri where sure to win republican senate seats were lost by nominating bad candidates.
TN is total R since reconstruction. Ramsey should have been governor, but when 2 conservatives run against a moderate, neither will back down, not even the low polling guy, who should so a Conservative could win the office. So the moderate always wins. It is how we got gov. Halsam, and corker.

Which ushered in halsam, who is on the ballot this Nov. Vote Ramsey as I look for him to try again. He is LT Gov now. Senate leader too.
