Is America Starting To Target Thought Crime?
Daily Caller ^ | 5/26/14 | Scott Greer

Last week, Michelle Obama made headlines when she exhorted graduating high schoolers in a commencement address to monitor their families for politically incorrect thoughts and behaviors.

To one journalist, this was more than an off-hand comment made by the first lady. In the opinion of Cheryl Chumley, a reporter for The Washington Times and the author of “Police State USA,” Michelle Obama’s remark reflects a growing trend in America to target and attack individuals for committing “thought crime.”

Unless we reverse the current trend, the answer is YES.

Right out of the North Korea playbook!

Duh. When hate crimes were proposed I said they were making the crime a thought crime. Did you beat a guy up to take his wallet? 2 years and probation. Did you beat a guy up because he was a race you don’t like? 10 years.

If I was the guy who’s wallet was stolen I’d be insulted.

And the East German Stazi’s playbook as well where every other person was a government snitch looking to make a few brownie points by turning in a relative or neighbor.

Already happening with “hate crime” penalties.

Remember that as Hitler was rising to power, the Hitler Youth were, for all intents and purposes, required to snitch on their parents. It got to the point that the state was more important than the family, and many families were incarcerated for simply appearing to be against the Nazi party.

This is beyond thought crime, this is thought control. This is why the Leftists and Progressives have tried for so long to remove corporal punishment for children: because it instills a sense of respect for the parent/teacher. No discipline means the state can control them for 8 hours a day and often longer.

America’s in serious trouble.

A few years ago I started saying there is no real difference between the democrats and republicans. I noticed I started taking personal ownership of the concept in late 2008. I now believe it as much as I believe that I like steak better than rice. It is so obvious that I can even accurately predict the R response to events.

The two parties are merely playing “good cop, bad cop” with us. They have been, probably for a very, VERY long time. It changes your view of history.

When American justice traversed into the ambiguous realm of “hate crimes”, the targeting became official.

We’ve already reached the thought crime stage. Even the pro-gun crowd go along with it when they support mental health checks for gun licenses.

We can’t stop the First Lady from saying these things... just exactly what do you think we should be doing that we’re not doing?

But there is a difference despite the frequent failures of the Republican party.

TEA is helping to correct the problems, and the process must not relent.

When thought is outlawed, then I will be an outlaw that thinks.

I’m probably already an “outlaw” on several obscure laws.

Maybe not so oddly, this bothers me not at all...
