His and Kathrene’s way of saying goodbye to the WW 2 generation.
I did that when I saw on Sunday during the PBS Memorial Day Concert in D.C. when they showed two benches of WW 2 vets who did Normandy realizing that they are fading into history.

I suppose it will be to Normandy again, for the 70th of D-Day next week.Oh, maybe... how nice if he and Catherine are going to Normandy again. Wish I could be there for the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Hubby and I were in Normandy in 1997 or so. It was an amazing experience... unforgettable and sobering to see all those graves and the the beach, and the nearby cliffs of Pointe-du-Hoc. Would love to return someday.
I have to run... have a good afternoon, FRiend. :-)
