Yes it is disgusting from a disgustingly pathetic administration.
As far as getting away with it he may finally have bitten off more than he can handle. Some of his supportive liberal media are reporting on the downsides of this exchange, hopefully more will follow. Would also love to see some Dems start jumping ship, it’ll be popcorn time if any do.
Can you even begin to compare the bergdahl story with the haditha story in your brain? It infuriates me.
One group of guys desperately trying to do their duty in an extreme life-threatening situation are brought home to derision, prosecution, and public lies.
Another guy deserts, gets his team members killed, probably discloses vital force protection information, and comes home a hero with our president’s accolades.
Who can our military trust?

Technically, he’s still in the military, and unless I’m mistaken, he’s probably on some kind of temp assignment at that hospital. If he even hints at guilt, a hospital commander might stick his neck out. Gamecock would know if that’s correct.
If he’s still carried on the books of his old unit, which is unlikely, then perhaps that old battalion commander can prefer charges.
I’m unsure of this one.
Odds are, they’ve had him in some administrative holding unit for the last 5 years.

I agree, it is infuriating. But the story isn’t finished yet. There IS pushback from some in the media, from military families. The truth is getting out.
