I was a big John Russel fan as a kid. It was great to see him turn up in Pale Rider.
I also remember that show.
And the playground version of the song:
Stranded
Stranded on the toilet bowl
What do you do when you’re stranded
and you don’t have a roll...
That could be a record.
Thank you for that! A trip down memory lane. Surely, that’s the same set as F Troop. Same guard tower.
I think the Freepers and other Conservatives Blogs have defined the area of inquiry and the truths to be ascertained; it now the time to establish the facts and take it home.
Aw, you boys always went straight for the toilet joke! Of course, I was the only little girl in my neighborhood who even watched westerns.
Buchanen is wrong. These troops did not look for their lost "sergeant." He was promoted while in supposed captivity. When he wandered away, he was a specialist, iirc, and maybe even a PFC.
>>Why dont we wait for the hearings/investigations to develop before we decide? <<
Philosophically, I concur.
The issue is that it is in obozo’s interest that this guy NOT be found to be a deserter.
And as CiC he can do a lot of mischief to ensure that outcome, facts be damned.
The other thing is we are getting some pretty hard evidence (from his squad leader and other sources) that he is at a minimum a deserter and in fact might have colluded with the enemy.
And, yes I believe his squad leader (or platoon commander — I can’t recall which).
Boy, you’re no fun.
PFC, E-3. He was later promoted to Specialist, E-4 and Sergeant, E-5 in absentia. He will be promoted to Staff Sergeant, E-6 later this month.

Different times — :)
People are already being swayed by his rank. I under the ‘in absentia’ promotions, but this next one to SSG can be pulled back “for cause pending investigation.” He is in our control now, and it’s exactly what a unit does with a promotion when the soldier has gone sour.
By the way, HOW does one raise that kind of money for candidates. I figure I know why you do it. I want to know HOW to do it?
Well he went from one the the other
You really think you find the truth in court nowadays ? sorry that hilarious
It looks like Traitor.
The difference is that Chuck Connors’ character became a force for justice and tried to prove that he was wrongly accused.
Bergdahl is an enemy sympathizer.
OHHH I go for that trade
