Laura Ingraham: We Should Have Traded Cantor for Bergdahl
breitbart.com ^ | 6/4/14 | Michael Patrick Leahy

GLENN ALLEN, Virginia—Conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham campaigned here with the long-shot primary challenger to Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Randolph-Macon economics professor David Brat, issuing a blistering attack on Cantor's immigration record.

At an evening rally at the Dominion Club attended by roughly 500, Ingraham and Brat showed no love lost for Cantor, who has been touting himself as an anti-amnesty warrior in campaign literature.

"I was thinking about this prisoner swap. I kind of wish that President Obama would have thought this through a little bit more. Instead of sending five Taliban MVPs over there, he could have just traded one Eric Cantor," Ingraham said, adding that “let's be sure he gets treated well.”

"If you actually want to help America, sending Taliban back to the battlefield, that's not going to actually help us. The Taliban could actually kill some of our people."

"Sending Eric Cantor back for a little while, let's be sure he gets treated well, that could actually help things. It could help our economy, stop so much spending."

The rally is another sign of the volatile political climate Cantor faces back home, even as he is poised to be the next Speaker of the House when its current holder, John Boehner, steps down. Cantor, although known for pulverizing even empty suit opponents, has taken a number of unusual steps to keep the Brat threat at bay, including the anti-amnesty literature and negative television ads criticized by fact-checkers as misleading.

Even still, Cantor is widely considered safe from any real danger of losing, and Brat has been vastly outspent over the course of the campaign so far.

I’d rather have traded Obama for Bergdahl. Even swap.

You know Laura, it’s a funny thing. Just two short years back, you went all in for a man with a fraction of Cantor’s conservative cred...not that he has much. And here you are saying this man, who was PROVABLY more conservative than your supported RINO of 2012, should be sent to the Taliban.

You lady are a fraud. And I am no fan of Cantor.

Cantor is a POS. No doubt. Inghram pushed for Romney. she got on board. Fully. As a result, we are here today.

She helped get us there.

In the end, She got on board with every other talker and called for his election. She spent a lot of time explaining why Mitt was bad, then one day, none of that mattered and we had to vote for him. Now she either lied to us before her Romney epiphany or after it. Because both versions she gave us cannot be true. He was either a bad candidate or he was not. She said both and ultimately called on her listeners to elect him.

Coulter was worse...absolutely. But there is no reason to believe anything Inghram says going forward. She proved, IMO, what her word is worth.

Just take a look at who syndicates their radio shows or owns the stations on which they are broadcast. You don’t have to follow that money very far to see why all of them drank the koolaid.

Sorry that facts upset you. Well, not really. But thanks for your support of the GOP’s favorite closeted Democrat on a conservative website.

You and other self-righteous chickensh*ts will never be able to remove the stench of abetting the re-election of Dear Leader. I feel sorry for you.

Well, not really.

Yeah, it's all our fault. Running a horrible candidate had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Maybe next time you won't carry water for obama's clone. No...you probably will if it has the cherished (R) next to it's name.

For some reason? Like that he won the nomination?

And now she can’t talk anymore?

Ok whatever

She can talk all she likes. And she can either defend it or not. But no one is obliged to listen to what she has to say.

Or is that somehow wrong?

Also, “he won the nomination”...

Find me one more conservative thing Mitt Romney ever did than the average Democrat. Even Barry was against gay marriage/military running for office. Mitt proudly pushed it as Gov.

Just because some POS gets nominated does not obligate our vote.
