My political goal is more realistic than yours, I only want to stop gay marriage, and fight it in the next presidential election, and win voter support for conservative candidates.

Your political goal is to somehow persuade America to vote to end marriage as we know it, remove it from all laws and government, including military service, and let religions, mosques and cults control marriage, which means that literally anything goes.

A political movement that we all know isn’t going to happen.

Your pretend political goals are not very convincing, especially since they are being used to oppose the important political issues we conservatives need to be discussing for the next election.

Your political goal is DOA because the very legal institutions you embrace have declared it so.
Take, for instance, Prop. 8 — the people of CA amended their constitution in order to define marriage, and yet this definition has been destroyed in the federal courts even to the point where the USSC has denied that the people themselves have standing to see their own constitution amended.

Not really.
Because it's not a political goal — I simply don't believe that ceding the power to define marriage to the government is a good idea.
Ask yourself how things would have gone in the legal system is Prop 8 had been the allowance of homosexual marriage instead — would any of these roadblocks or denials have been raised?

IOW, the validity of a state's constitution is now dependent upon the goodwill of the federal judiciary… this is not a good thing in my estimation.

A political movement that we all know isn’t going to happen.

Again, not political.

Oh, if you want things to discuss about the next election [my political goals, in no particular order] I'd be happy to share:

  1. Prosecute Fast & Furious — it is Treason and state sponsored terrorism.
  2. Prosecute the IRS political-targeting — it is horribly unamerican and indicative of deep corruption.
  3. Use #2 to push for real tax-reform consisting of a uniform flat-rate, no deductions, no credits, no exemptions, no withholdings, no exceptions.
Note: if income is defined as being only an individual, then we eliminate all the 503(c) variability and religious institutions no longer have to worry about being taxed.
  4. Forcibly stem the flow of alien invaders (illegal-immigration).
  5. Prosecute those aiding said invaders (the mayor, city-council, sheriff, and chief of police for sanctuary cities; including tax-free reward monies for their arrest).
  6. Push for real financial responsibility and accountability.
  7. … dissolve any FedGov agency that is not explicitly commissioned by the constitution or functions on a proper constitutional issue; this leaves about:
    • US Army
    • US Navy
    • US DOT — commerce clause.
    • US Post Office — explicit.
    • Secret Service — counterfeiting investigation (all guard-duties dropped).
    • IRS — or do you wish to debate the validity of Amd 16?
    • US Coast Guard — enforcement of customs, tariffs, etc under the Treasury dept.
  8. Use the Kelo decision to seize all real properties of the USSC justices, see how long it takes them to reverse it.
  9. Indefinitely detain the USSC, on bread and water, until they find the NDAA's indefinite detention unconstitutional.
  10. Prosecute the NSA for its domestic espionage.
  11. Really push to end the Federal Reserve.
  12. … and investigate it for criminality. (It's highly likely that its whole operation is fraud.)
