The Ramsey County attorney's office won't press charges against a St. Paul man who shot and wounded another man in a grocery store parking lot last month, saying the shooting was in self-defense.
On the evening of May 21, Bee Thao, 21, shot Keyonte Thompson, 19, also of St. Paul, outside Rainbow Foods at 892 Arcade St. Thompson, shot in the torso, survived after being taken to Regions Hospital.
Thao, who remained at the scene, was detained but not arrested.
A witness sitting in a car in the parking lot told police she saw Bee Thao come out of the store with a woman and child, with Thompson following them. The witness said she saw Thompson punch Thao in the face, before Thao pushed back with one hand, pulled out a handgun and shot him.
The woman with Thao, his mother, told police that they went to the store to buy medication and milk and that they left after Thompson began following them. She said Thompson came up behind them, grabbed Thao by the shoulder, punched him and grabbed him by the neck before Thao shot him.

I’m sure that Mr. Keyonte Thompson’s family said he was a good boy and was on the way to turning his life around.

Maybe, without a bad concealed gun, the father would have accepted a bit of @$$ whooping, Trayvon style, or perhaps the wife would have had to put up with a few indignities, but no one would have been seriously injured. We need to ban guns and repeal Stand Your Ground laws to prevent these injuries to teens and to other children.”
Must have worked because he did get his 15 minutes of fame/infamy.

When the Bolsheviks took over Russia they changed the name of St. Petersburg first to Petrograd then to Leningrad because they wanted to show how “progressive” they were. When the people threw the communists out, they changed the name back again. St. Petersburg will always be St. Petersburg no matter what some PC-indoctrinated collectivist twit thinks you should call it. Despite today’s tendency to show how “progressive” we are by making all words taste like cottage cheese, I say we call The Mozambique Drill by its proper name which is The Mozambique Drill. And practice it a lot.

I don’t know for a fact that Thao is Hmong but his name sounds like it.
