Eric Cantor’s Primary Loss Is a Political Earthquake. And It’s Awful.
Daily Beast ^ | June 10, 2014 | Michael Tomasky

How did the No. 2 man in the House lose a primary? Chalk it up to immigration and the Tea Party. It’s one of the most shocking losses in U.S. electoral history—and it’s bad for America. Here’s the thing: Eric Cantor did not fall asleep in this race. He spent around $5 million. He ran lots of TV ads. He knew this was going to be a close one. He campaigned. And he still got creamed.

And here’s the other thing: Cantor was not an enemy of the Tea Party. He was in fact the Tea Party’s guy in the leadership for much of the Barack Obama era. He carried the tea into the speaker’s office. And still he got creamed.

South Carolina has an open primary, so Democrats can help choose the GOP candidate.

This is the Democrat strategery for 2016.

declare Hillary the unbeatable nominee before the primaries so democrats in open states are freed up to help pick the Republican candidate

Politicians are like baby’s diapers. They should be changed often.

Maybe, just maybe, this will cause the Republican party to rethink open primaries...

I wish for a Coup D’etat but not by the briefcase flag officers.

Without that, the 50/50 nation we have now won’t survive.

No president, house and senate can move the needle in a positive direction in four years and nobody that tries can get elected for the second term he needs to get the job done. Even if he does somehow manage to get reelected the injured parties will react in the next round and swing the needle back in the opposite direction even harder and with vengeance.

No direction taken in 8 year segments lasts long enough to swing a generation the way it needs to be done. Change has to come in 20 year cycles.

I had never heard of the site before, but from the article and comments I must conclude it is a hangout for Trotskyites Anonymous.

The GOP-E Leadership in the US House, (Boehner, Cantor, and Ryan), is always gullible to Obama’s tricks. Consequently, Boehner, Cantor and Ryan, have all pledged to ram through this unpopular Obama Amnesty Bill due to Obama’s illegal decision to flood the USA with children from Mexico and Central America.

It is time to kick the GOP-E out of Congressional Leadership!

The hell he wasn’t. He’s an enemy of the American people.

Cantor needs to emigrate to Mexico assuming that they would take him.

Take heart. I am very old. But I have vision. That is very near. The military is key. They are sickened by this traitor. I speculate things are very near in that respect.

America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Next in the cross hairs: Landreau, Hagan, Franken, Pryor, Udall, Warner, Begich, Peters, Cochran. Let's go for a complete rout.

In Cantor’s heavily republican district, the dems thought he would win so they didn’t even bother to choose a candidate to run against him. Supposedly today was the last day for an independent to register. So unless some democrat has already registered as an independent, I don’t believe there will be a dem winning the final election in November.
