NBC's chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd pointed to a story originally broken Breitbart Texas abut the U.S.-Mexican border being flooded with illegal immigrant children as the main reason behind the "perfect storm" that caused House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) to loss the GOP primary to Tea Party challenger Dave Brat.
Todd credited the grassroots anti immigration movement reaction to the story.

Brat does have a Dem opponent in November. He’s another professor at Brat’s college. He was selected by the Dems when Cantor looked to be a shoe-in, so probably not a very strong or serious candidate.
Senator Cornyns info—he’s all into taking care of the “children”. He fell right into the Obama/Jarrett trap. I told him that I don’t see how he could get much support by supporting law breakers and not looking out for American taxpayer citizens that elect him. It’s time to flood the offices. I don’t want staph infections everywhere.

I think the kids flooding in mattered. But the big question now is what is the federal government going to do with them now? anything short of sending them back will simply fire up the citizens more.

On Hannity, which he was great, he said the way to curb illegal immigration was to show people who live with dictators how free markets make for a healthy economy, so people do not have to leave their countries. He pointed out that China and India are feeding their billions of people because of free market principles. After the war, we showed the way to Japan and Germany and they became our friends.
Forget ringing his bell. Let’s haul his @ss to the border, hand him a weapon, and make him stand a post. Then we’ll see if he understands the concept of SECURE THE BORDER!

It matters if the crossovers were an organized Dem effort to help kill Cantor to perpetuate the “Tea Party Extremists” narrative across other races.
The Dems believe that narrative works for them in a lot of places. They also think that the GOP standing firm against immigration reform works for them in a lot of places. I think they’re wrong on those presumptions in many ways, at least in the sense that the issues convey some sort of extra benefit or advantage they didn’t already have.

You’re not even allowed to register as a Democrat or Republican in Virginia. Everyone is a registered independent. Central Virginia is very conservative on immigration.
Maybe Graham cornered the market on Diebold hackers today. Cantor didn’t think he needed any and spent all his money on steak dinners instead.
Graham won because 6 or 7, SIX or SEVEN people ran against him....how STUPID......we will NEVER learn.

Slowly but surely, one election at a time, we WILL win.
Yeah, some like Cornyn, McConnell and Graham won their primary races. It’s disappointing, but they weren’t ringing endorsements, especially in Cornyn’s and Graham’s cases where over 40% of the primary voters rejected them.
We’ll keep watching but I think Cornyn and Graham will need to move to the right in order to retain their seats in 6 years as more and more people wake up and pay attention to their tricks of the trade.

This is anecdotal for sure, but as someone who is married to a Latina, and who lived in South America for a number of years, it is my feeling that the recent flood of immigrants will be seen by most Hispanics as a tragedy that can only be avoided by closing the borders.
Many Latinos that I know feel this way. Admittedly these are firmly entrenched people, legal citizens, and they see the threat to their jobs too, and want something done about it.
What percentage of all Hispanics in this country? Hard to say. But more than you might think.
Also....STOP OPEN PRIMARIES!!! They are STUPID ALSO!!!
