Rand Paul denies he's pro-amnesty
WND ^ | June 12 2014 | Jerome R. Corsi

NEW YORK – The office of Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., has issued a statement to WND firing back against any suggestion that his participation in a conference call Wednesday held by a group that supports immigration reform indicates he favors amnesty for illegal aliens.

“Sen. Rand Paul never embraced amnesty on the call,” his office stated in an email. “Sen. Paul has never advocated for amnesty in any other forum and he voted against the Senate immigration bill.

-SNIP-

A column by Paul on immigration was published by Breitbart News Thursday morning. Paul writes that he’s “for immigration reform because I am against allowing 12 million more illegal immigrants into our country.”

“If we do nothing, 12 million more illegal immigrants will come. We must be in favor of reform — smart reform that starts with border security,” he says.

Then he states emphatically: “Characterizing that position as ‘amnesty’ is simply untrue.”

Paul says the status quo “is a lawless border.”

Really? I thought the Paul family was Pro-Life?

Rand Paul is pro life for himself and pro choice for everyone else.

His most recent position was the same as Nancy Pelosi's.

Look it up.

I’m not gratuitously attacking him. I truly believe, based on his actions that he is human garbage/a POS, call it what you will.

he has multiple examples of turning on his base, siding with RINOs and the left and that is why we are in this mess. People like him. Until we give them the exact ‘respect’ they show us, the problem continues.

PAUL: Well, there’s going to be, like I say, thousands of extraneous situations where the life of the mother is involved and other things that are involved.... So, I would say that each individual case would have to be addressed

They like guns and oppose taxes, aside from that they are leftists.

I am not a leftist.

So, you agree that the Pauls may "personally oppose" abortion, but have zero interest in ending it?

Ted Cruz supports the abuse of the interstate commerce clause. But I won't dump him because of it.

Too many so-called conservatives don't give a whit about the interstate commerce clause as long as its abuse doesn't affect them.

A whole lot of folks now are talking about legalizing pot….And you can make arguments on that issue. You can make reasonable arguments on that issue. The president earlier this past year announced the Department of Justice is going to stop prosecuting certain drug crimes. Didn’t change the law.

So cool, he agrees with Scalia, and is at odds with Thomas. But hey, it doesn't affect me, so who cares?

He would, by extension, have to feel the same way about the prohibition of incandescent light bulbs and high-flow toilets. But, as long as he is true-blue on abortion and immigration, we'll pretend his inconsistencies don't exist.

Now, I love Ted Cruz. But somewhere along the line, we forgot the 11th commandment. Big time.

********************************************************************

I’m sorry, I just can’t agree with that.

Now, if you had said that “Rand Paul is a lying piece of human excrement” I could likely agree given his duplicitous promotion of Amnesty while saying he is against it.

I know that I’m ignorant of the subject.

What laws have he voted against that would have restricted or outlawed abortion?

Is there action you’re saying he should have taken that he didn’t? Do you hold other so-called conservatives to the same standard?

If you make an honest reading of Pauls statements, positions, endorsements and the rest, you will see multiple issues. Not one or two. Last month alone he had an orgasm of liberalism with every two days or so bringing with it a very unconservative position/statement.

That is more than one niggling little detail. That is a pattern of unconservative activity.

Now in any other aspect of life...say your kids if you have them. If little Johnny lies to you daily, are you inclined to reward him? How about your wife? Your boss? If you catch your wife with the pool boy planning a getaway, are you apt to buy them tickets to the theater?

No. And likewise, Paul’s pattern of liberal/Rino behavior means he’s about as faithful as a porn chick at a swingers club.

OK the lesser evil crew must have finally broken my will. I am willing to compromise my principles here.

Can we agree that the POS stinks either way? ;)

I have no idea what he means by “compromise” but no compromise is possible with illegal immigration because it is already past the tipping point. Those supporting amnesty have intentionally let it get this far, any compromise at this point will only allow for amnesty.
