"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

If Mitt comes out swinging hard; at the dems, this time, I say, yes, give him another chance. If he interviews with Candy Crowley and effectively tells her to STFU, I will take notice and be impressed that maybe he finally gets it that the dems are not your freinds and never will be.

This is what presidential politics is going to degenerate into. The candidates who raise the most money will be anointed by both party’s special interests, then we’ll have an “American Idol” style campaign of vacuous meatheads.

The dems have gotten so good at picking losers for the GOP to run, that they figure they'll see if they can get them to run Romney again, just for the hell of it.

And darned if the GOP doesn't give Romney some good hard thought at the very least.

Absolutely.

Romney is the DREAM candidate of the G.O.P.

1) Romney invented ObamaCARE. RomneyCARE LIVES FOREVER.

2) Romney protects Obama (GOP = Give Obama Power)

3) Romney will lie, making moot Obama’s lies.

If you’re a Republican political pro and you’re even remotely seriously thinking about Romney for 2016, really, just go ahead and retire.

I guess the media knows that Chris Chrispie Creme and Jeb Bush don’t have a shot so they have to prop up the next moderate they can find. They know that nominating a moderate effectively tanks the race for Republicans.

"If you want a candidate you agree with 100 percent of the time, look in the mirror,"

How about a candidate that matches their own party platform, instead of a pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-amnesty, socialized medicine, big government liberal?

Perfection isn't required.

Romney wants the presidency about as bad as illegal aliens want U.S. citizenship. He didn’t care whether or not he won last time, why waste our time and money for a second run? Like Juan McCain before him, he convinced the voters that Barry Soetoro was the better choice.

Far from being excommunicated by Republicans after his loss to President Obama, 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is enjoying a brand resurgence of late

Its CBS so accuaracy is not to be expected.
Romney is enjoying a resurgance with the losers that inhabit the GOPe. Not with the American citizen republican voters.

The same players from the same two parties will all be running again, +.

The Bush dynasty will be there, another corrupt Clinton, with Perry showing up in cowboy boots straining to say something clever...He’ll blame it on medications...They’ll stand there for 12 debates, each one attempting to out clever quip the other.

The audience of fools applaud, all claiming their guy won...

To: SoConPubbie; All

As a side note to Romney’s vision for the country, please consider the following. Twenty Second Amendment issues aside, if Obama was to sincerely and verifiably (ahem) promise that he would help patriots force corrupt Congress back into its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited power “cage,” then it wouldn’t bother me if Obama kept the Oval Office until he decided to retire.

And although I will support whoever Obama guard Fx News nominates for Republican presidential canditate (I know that it’s not supposed to work that way, but ...), I don’t see any potential “conservative” candidates who wouldn’t help corrupt Congress to continue exercising constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers like all presidents have been doing since before Constitution-ignoring socialist FDR.
