If this latest victim were more aware of what was going on around him and had a concealed sidearm, it would have been a much different outcome. Simply keeping eye contact with the attacker probably would have been sufficient to keep him at bay and moving on to find a more desirable target. Putting a hand on his pistol and letting the perp see it would have had the little bastard running. There's a third scenario but no sense in using deadly force unless you have to.
Folks like that are exactly what submariners call surface ships.

One advantage of a pocket pistol is that one can have one’s hand in one’s pocket without drawing attention. Having ones gun in hand shortens the draw/fire time significantly. That shortened response time may be the difference between life and death or receiving or avoiding a life changing beating.
In between is the scenario most likely in this case: with that much “in my space” time, the punk probably would have had the opportunity to tell me how clean the bore of my carry piece was — with my finger still safely off the trigger...
I certainly do not look for trouble, but I have a feeling, that before too long, trouble is going to come looking for us. When, not if, the SHTF, I hope God will give me the strength and courage to hold my own.

Environmentalists will never get Americans out of cars and onto mass transit as long as they may have to encounter black people there. It is a simple fact; I pity the people (including blacks) that have to be exposed to these creatures.
