It reminds me of the old story of the Boy Scout. He showed up all battered and bruised one day and his shocked mother asked him what happened.
“I did my good deed for the day,” he said proudly.
“What did you do?” his mother asked.
“I helped an old lady across the street,” he replied.
“Did you get hit by a car? Did you fall? How did you get so beat up?”
“She didn’t want to go.”
I’ll drink to that ..!!!!
But .. you have to promise me that Reid will never step foot in America again. LOL
Change the name to the Washington Scumbuckets and use Harry’s image in the logo.
Wow, just WOW!!!! That has to hurt.
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
and I won’t attend any cowboy poetry festivals until he is dead. (Even then I won’t attend)
Remember TI, that doesn't matter. They want the discussion to be whether or not someone is offended.
Of course they'll be able to find someone who is offended. The world offends people.
But that does not mean we should allow government to dictate and use force to attempt to prevent offense from occurring. Isn't the first amendment's raison d'etre to protect unpopular speech?
I think that Dan Snyder know better than Harry Reid how to run his football team, including what nickname to have for his team.
To me, this is serious over reach, to get our elected representatives involved in sports team nicknames. It is simply none of Harry Reid’s business, nor 9bama’s, nor an issue or the federal government to be involved in for any reason.
Maybe the stadium could be renamed the “Charles G. Koch and David H. Koch Memorial Stadium”.... Harry Reid would love that...
LOL, I think I’ve heard that, but thanks for reminding me. In this case, the do-gooder where no do-gooder is needed is just trying to earn votes for being such a selfless champion of the oppressed.
So, he’s using all of his abilities to encourage them to keep the name, then?
You bring up a good point. Should government be able to step in and become our PC police, trying to regulate free speech according to what it thinks is polite or offensive? It seems like a Constitutional violation.
The Oneida Nation is. However I get the distinct perception that they are perpetually aggrieved.

27 TRIBES?????
Does he object when the Cleveland Indians are called the 'Tribe'?
Do the same people that think REDSKINS is objective, have the same thought when it comes to calling the 'Indian Nation' TRIBES?
Or is he creating another conundrum like when the NFL 'BANNED' the "N-word (how 4th gradish)" then the Black Players sue for discrimination because (they claim) THEY are the ONLY ones using the word, so to ban it means the NFL is being discriminatory against the Black Players.
Maybe the NAACP will tell us again how 'rude' it is to use the word 'Colored' when referring to 'people'.
I SWAN, you can hang some people with a new rope or shoot them with a new rifle and they still get upset.
These IDIOTS make my head spin.....
I wish Reid and his liberal friends wouldn't attend anything in my state until we change our name.
Hey, My wife and I once bought silverware from those guys...
LOL it doesn’t matter if someone is offended. I’m offended that they’re offended.
So whose offense is worthy of government or societal intervention?
Harry Red is simply far too old to be this foolish ...
“Id give anything to move the Redskins to Los Angeles!”
Forget that. Move them to San Antonio and change their name to the Bandits.
LOL! You beat me to it!
