Correct. Just stalling for time. How long have the Fast and Furious hearings been going on? And Issa is not the Lone Ranger by a long shot. No one in a position of authority is going to do anything about Obama’s violating the law. except cry. And that includes Texas’ Governor Perry.

He should have asked and given them a hard deadline to comply. Why can we all so clearly see how this should have been done and they can’t? I suspect they are all protecting their payoffs from somewhere.

He.needs to drag in ALL the IT people that have any role in building, implementing and supporting the IRS email system with a notice of the intent to arrest anyone that conspires, commits perjury or attempts to cover up any effort to hide or destroy any email.

Then follow thru with it. He also needs to bring Contempt charges for lying against kaskinen who said they would provide ALL of lerners emails when it has now come out that they knew in February the emails were supposedly missing

It can be permanently erased. But only by intent. There is absolutely no way to lose this range of data. Suggesting such an event is criminal. Someone will break the wall of silence at some point. Contractors do not like to go to jail, but the IRS is the great bogeyman.

Tie up the IRS in paper work. Knock them over the head with their own rule book.

Why should he ask the IRS ? He is a Representative of the people of the United States of America. According to the Constitution, he represents one third of the Government.

I guarantee you that should this have been a Republican Administration scandal, the Democrats would be demanding, not asking.

THe Federal Records Compliance Act is one of the keys to putting Lerner in jail.

She is required, by law, to preserve all work related documents for future preservation in the National Archives Electronic Archives system.

If she didn’t, then it is a criminal offense and even Holder’s legal whores can’t ignore prosecuting her (or could they, being the worst attorneys DOJ has ever had?).

Besides, government data systems are backed up the wazhoo so they are preserved somewhere in the govt system.

Also, Lerner’s emails are preserved in the files of those she contacted. Therefore Issa should have included these recipients in his requests, which should be “demands”, if he hasn’t done so already.

I’ll bet that Putin is laughing his red ass off now because Obama/Holder are now the equals of his KGB/FSB agencies, and just as lawless and ruthless.

No wonder Obama said that after the elections he would be a little more ‘flexible’. In Russian that translates into more ‘treasonable.’ That ‘s the name of the game and Obama plays it well.

I couldn’t contact Congressman Issa because I don’t live in his district. I guess his “hearings” only affect those who live in his district.

Never the less, here’s my communication to Congressman Issa:

Congressman Issa,

You are somehow compromised. There is no way on God’s Green Earth you will ever get to the bottom of ANYTHING. You, sir, are conducting a dog & pony show.

I don’t trust you.

The American People don’t trust you.

Please step aside and let an UNCOMPROMISED member of the House of Representatives, truly, get to the bottom of all the investigations you are stalling, stalling, stalling.

Thank you

THe Federal Records Compliance Act is one of the keys to putting Lerner in jail. The only problem with that is, nobody, including the Republicans want to put Lerner in jail

I hope Issa will start jailing IT people, as now it is clear that at least the records retention laws were not obeyed. And they can't exactly plead the fifth on it, because Issa has an admission that they were erased. Once people start sitting in jail, even if they are lowly IT techs that didn't have anything to do with it except follow orders, people will start talking.

“A good start.’

Yep. Except all that was lost in a boating accident on the Potomac River...

How many backup tapes are there before 2009 that HAVE NOT been over taped? Who made the decision to OVER TAPE only those tapes between 2009 and 2011?

Why only the Emails to outside agencies? Why not all eMails? Why were some lost and others saved? Who made these decisions?

Sharyl Adkisson is on to something with her set of questions.

I bet they hand over a brand-new 2014 model Seagate drive. Still in the box.

Forensics will uncover no evidence of any emails from 2011 on the drive. Experts will be baffled.
