The above map shows the most liberal and most conservative towns in each state in America.
Political data analytics firm Clarity Campaign Labs provided the underlying data to Business Insider. The firm compiled the information to create an online tool that was released Tuesday and was designed to help web users identify the community in each state that most closely matches their political views.
Clarity Campaign Labs used its national models and the Co-Op voter file from SmartVAN to make the tool. It analyzes users' political views based on seven identifiers, and asking them whether they apply or not:
I identify with the Democrats more so than the Republicans.
Abortion should be legal and accessible to all women.
I attend religious services regularly.
Climate change is an immediate concern that must be addressed.
There should be more restrictions on purchasing and carrying guns.
The government should reduce the deficit primarily by raising taxes rather than cutting services.

I don’t know about McBain Michigan but they nailed it with Ann Arbor.
Given a choice between nuking Ann Arbor and Detroit, Ann Arbor gets it every time. Detroit may be a parasite but they’re an indifferent parasite. Ann Arbor is an arrogant, self righteous, and demanding parasite.
I could do worse than retire in Haleiwa.
Surprise, surprise! The most liberal city in my home state is Berserkeley.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that too.
I’ve got major problems with the Arizona map. Nogales is located on the Mexican border. Everyone in Colorado City is on welfare. Gimme a break.
Baker, FL is really conservative....................
Very weird results, at least for CO.
Chama, the liberal “town,” has a population of 63.
Cope, the conservative “town,” is just an incorporated post office area.
Yep, nailed it. A-squared=Berkley East. Couldn’t pay me enough to work in that town. Prefer to cross the border to Ohio.
They do have some good cultural events, though.
Ohio is correct. I lived in the People’s Republic of Shaker Heights for 17 long years.
Took the quiz...it said I would be happiest in Shady Valley, TN. LOL! We used to live about forty miles from there (when we were both happy), and my wife ADORES Damascus, Va...which is just over the border from Shady Valley.
My bucket list? Back South or die!!!
Work in Washtenaw county is what brought me to southeastern Jackson county but I would never live in Washtenaw.
There’s a liberal city in Oklahoma? Wow.
What's weirder is that Chama is in New Mexico.
Well, lived in both states at different times, and that’s what I thought, but turns out there is also a Chama, CO.
The NM Chama is a neat little town, population about 1200. Had a really great breakfast burrito there once.
The CO Chama is practically not there at all.
Given the sizes of Cope and Chama, it is likely they interviewed only a single person in each village, and then decided how liberal or conservative the town was.
Really, really bad methodology.
I've never heard of Hume before. I might have to retire there.
I’ve never heard of the town of Hume either, but I’m gonna take a guess and say it’s probably near Hume Lake.
That would place it on the western slope of the Sierras. Beautiful area.
When I worked down in Chelsea, my hunting buddies and me would brag to all of the flaming liberal a$$hats who lived in ann arbor about how good the hunting was on state land, across the road from the UofM wildlife preserve, or whatever it was called, somewhere near dexter I think. The look on their faces were priceless. I mean, you could almost see their brains melting down.
Remember, that’s relative to the rest of the state. Haleiwa is just the most conservative city in Hawaii, after all. That’s like saying the best looking dog at the Ugliest Dog Contest.
I took the test for my home state of North Carolina, and it put me in Lattimore, which I’ve never heard of. It’s about halfway between Shelby and Forest City, west of Charlotte. Second and third were Bakersville, way up in the Blue Ridge, and Danbury, the nearby county seat of my childhood home.
Took it for California, too. I know, I know, but I still have a soft spot for the place. It put me on Balboa Island.
