“... provide work visas to those already here doing the work no one else will do. If you believe this issue is going to get solved by a hard line in the sand, then you will be very disappointed. It is a very difficult issue and it needs some common sense solutions.”

THAT is a total crock of cow dung!

There is nothing “difficult” about deporting these trespassers - removing them from American soil only requires the WILL to do the job - and that is one job this American will gladly do, if given the opportunity. President Eisenhower proved such a round-up CAN BE DONE.

Jobs Americans won’t do? More liberal B.S. Let’s just say, to indulge your argument, that this propaganda was remotely truthful ... The “fix” would be quite easily affected - Terminate welfare - all welfare - and tell those now sucking dry the wallets of the U.S. taxpayers: “Here’s the deal, you want money - there’s a job down on that farm (or whatever) start picking crops, and earn your keep - or else starve to death; because, we really don’t care anymore about your sad effing hard-luck story!”

The only “disappointment” is the fact that Americans are still supporting (via taxes) this corrupt criminal enterprise, called the U.S. federal government - which is no longer federal, and has nothing to do with sovereignty, but everything to do about affecting a tyrannical control over the American citizen, and turning these united States of America (lower case “u” intended), once a promising constitutional republic (not a “democracy!”) into a” communist police state on OUR watch! Is that what your grandfathers and uncles shed their blood for? Maybe you should tell them about how “difficult” something is ... I’m certain they’d have some “common sense” to share with you - and that intolerably stupid libertarian jackass, Rand Paul!

I was just wondering because I live near the city and don’t know any farmers, when I was young I lived in Southern IL surrounded by farmland, dad owned horses, there were white farmhands back then.

Yep. The farms are owned by whites, but all the labor is done by hispanics. The State Dept even imported Haitians (lazy, worthless workers by all accounts). The farmers will tell you straight up that the era of American migrant seasonal workers (like John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men"), is over.

The other reality is this: they are well into their second generation. That is what 40 years of no strategy immigration plan will do.
