Not here it wasn’t.
January 2014 thru end of April was the coldest ever recorded in American history.
I mean, since 1880? That was such a long time ago. Like, nearly almost like forever ago or something man. Did the world exist before then, even?
It sure wasn’t here in MA.
.
Not where I lived.
What happened to the Polar Vortex? Keep your stories straight, people!
Probably from an unshaded thermometer mounted over black asphalt, next to a 10 ton air conditioner exhaust in Death Valley...
Not in Seattle. Lot’s of cloudy weather. We’re getting an 80 degree heat wave now though.
May was much colder than usual in Vermont.
Where do they get these numbers? I smell a hockey stick.
This was linked on Drudge today:
“The scandal of fiddled global warming data”
“The US has actually been cooling since the Thirties, the hottest decade on record”
I don’t believe anything I hear about hottest on record stats anymore.
Well, it came from “multiple sources” so it must be true. WE’RE GONNA DIE!!!!!!!!!!!! Curse those evil conservatives for opposing the carbon tax and a boatload of new environmental spending!!!!
Ya know, I woke up this morning and just knew that I was doomed...
Michigans upper peninsula had ice on the beaches on memorial day and beyond.
I call Bullshit.

“May Was the Hottest in Recorded History”
“That makes May 2014 the warmest May since the agency started tracking those figures in 1880”
So recorded history started 134 years ago?
Really???
What morons...
We're currently in an interglacial period within the current ICE AGE. Yes, we are currently in an ice age. Ice ages have glacial and intergacial periods. When this ice age ends, it will be MUCH hotter just like it has been in the past...
If this report is true, then Greenland is turning green once again.
5.56mm
May was May here...it was NOT hot...
They are lying arses...
Has there EVER been a modern media report of the coolest month/season/year/decade? No, it is always hottest, 2nd hottest, 3rd hottest or hottest top ten EVER, EVER, EVER.
Another point is only in VERY recent times have the had very accurate thermometers and more importantly placed them in so many diverse places that we did not monitor before.
And we’ve had satellite readings only since Sputnik (1957) with accurate satellites taking temperatures only for the past few decades.
So you, know, it’s all new to us. There is no effort to distinguish anything here. Did NBCNews (MSNBC) point out that thermometers circa 1880 were no where near as accurate as those today? No. And even if they had very precise thermometers in 1880, most of those would be deployed only in big European and American cities or universities. That the red mercury thermometer down at the Dodge City Five and Dime was probably off by as much as five degrees? No.
Its all rubbish.
We must act now to stop the rise in sea levels that has been going on for 10,000 years!
