Congressional investigators have uncovered emails showing that a former Internal Revenue Service official at the heart of the tea party investigation sought an audit of a Republican senator in December 2012.

“We have seen a lot of unbelievable things in this investigation, but the fact that Lois Lerner attempted to initiate an apparently baseless IRS examination against a sitting Republican United States senator is shocking,” Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, said. “At every turn, Lerner was using the IRS as a tool for political purposes in defiance of taxpayer rights.”
Also Wednesday, a group of Republican senators — including Grassley — said they want to expand a Senate investigation to look more closely at how the agency lost the emails.
Republican members of the Senate Finance Committee said they want know why the Treasury Department and the White House were told about the lost emails more than a month before Congress was told. They have asked committee chairman Ron Wyden, D-Ore., to schedule a hearing with IRS Commissioner John Koskinen.

Last night Issa said he had filed 4 criminal charges against Lerner with DOJ.
In the absence of any prosecution, Holder should be removed.

That depends on security settings which would be controls on the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES). Best security practices would encrypt the Blackberry device and not allow email to be saved to the device. Additionally, copy and pasting to and from Blackberry email and other apps would be disable. The reason behind this to secure confidential information and to make eDiscovery more feasible. Regardless of security settings, all emails would be on Microsoft Exchange severs. The email client, whether a Blackberry, iOS, Android, tablet, laptop, or desktop is not where you backup email. Servers, more particularly SANs, are backed up on a schedule and the backups are sent offsite. Additionally, enterprise class email systems will also have redundant servers at secondary location that receive every email in case of a disaster. If the primary location is incapacitated the secondary location can take over with little or no interuption of email service.

which is why she can hang tough. Two and a half years until he hands them out. Even if they start to prosecute now it could take a year or longer. Throw in appeals and she may be convicted and pardoned without serving a day.
