How about winning by way of 35000 Democrat voters? Cohran’s not a Republican anymore. No Republican should vote for him.

For a long time I’ve argued that the GOP needs to be reformed, but given Paul’s and Cruz’s comments and actions I’m not certain there’s a there to save. These guys are so out of touch with the base it isn’t funny.

I think our ideas, presented well, for example by Mike Lee recently, win all the time. Not elections per se, but in the war of the ideas. I did wish for a GOP majority and I still do, but if these guys keep playing games come January 2015 I am totally ready for a new party.

Does he want to bring down Cochran? McDaniel should run as a write-in / 3rd Party Candidate.

The Democrat will then likely win.

Therefore, what the Mississippi Republican establishment will likely do - offer McDaniel a whole lot of money or some plum job NOT to do such a thing.

Rand has worked so hard to appeal to liberals he’s lost all the support he’s had from conservatives.

He won’t be getting any votes from me.

Agree. Pathetic is an excellent descriptive word for Rand Paul.

Every state needs to prohibit crossing over to vote for the other party in the Primaries.

The GOP fights that, tooth and nail.

We should somehow start a campaign to send Chris money for whatever he wants to pursue. If all the conservatives who are pissed off with this deal even sent $10, he’d be rich.

A campaign, ‘Remember Mississippi’ to show Chris that there are good people left in America.

This victory by treachery will long be regretted by the GOPe. It will mark the beginning of the end for them. I wouldn’t vote for Cochran if he were running against Obama.

GOP continues to lose support with such dirty tactics. Those at the top are apparently not too bright.

People will sit at home again rather than vote for a crooked party. Doesn’t the GOP realize that?

At this point Cochran is unelectable. Remember when the GOP was telling all the tea party candidates to "step aside" because they said something politically incorrect?

Well What Cochran did here was completely beyond the pale. He and his cronies betrayed everything the Republicans were supposed to stand for in order to cheat and encourage voter fraud to keep out an up and coming, intelligent, loyal conservative candidate who fought a fair and honest fight.

The only way to even begin to repair the damage is for the entire GOP senate caucus to ask Cochran to step aside. Absent that, then there is no saving the party.

At this point I despise the entire GOP and all that they stand for. They certainly don't reflect my values anymore. They have crossed the Stix and have entered into Hell.

Let them burn!

Yep, and Paul fancies himself as a student of history. He’s a gump.

From what I can see there is no provision in Mississippi law for write in candidates but he could possible run as an independent. If he is a spoiler for the dems then so be it, maybe the GOPe won't be so eager to stab real conservatives in the back next time.

Palin made a real mess in Alaska for the oil industry. She’s great in her sphere, but I would never vote her into the Presidency if an alternative existed.

“You believed them...you F’d up” to paraphrase a line in Animal House.

Folks, the GOP only has power because someone out here gives them power. Now that this hard lesson last night has proven what some of us here on FR have been trying fruitlessly to get across, it won’t be so fruitless.

People continuing to support the GOP, make excuses for them and attack conservatives are every bit as evil as the GOP itself. Take away the support and the GOP is powerless. the money men vanish and we can fight the dems without the protection the GOP provides them.

Period.

If you have not noticed, the GOP is working to replace your vote with
a new citizen from Metico.
