ISIS - there has to be more than coincidence to this acronym. It doesn’t mean anything to muzzies - but it does to those in western society. Perhaps the powers that be that are supporting ISIS, perhaps our own CIA, picked that name for a reason. What meanings does it have beyond the general?

since Saudi is supporting them secretly, ISIS may march on Riyahd - and their king who is old and failing - will give in to them. Thus giving them the appearance of immediate legitimacy. Of course it was planned all along by radical elites in saudi. Easy way for them to extend their control to iraq and syria - the great crescent of islam restored. The caliphate is real and it will be the undoing of our nation.

Why wouldn’t it mean anything to the muslims...it is part of the history of middle east....Isis was the Goddess who married her brother Osiris. When he was murdered and his body cut to pieces and scattered about she brought his pieces back together to resurrect him (interesting side play on the penis portion for those who study mythology). The myth is similar to Ashtareth (and in fact may be the same tale) also known as Ishtar which in Egyot was Isis. Interesting theory. But they'd have to get through Shia south Iraq first, and risk being cut off by Iranian Shia "volunteers". It would be a risky all-in maneuver. But if they were successful, the Saudi oil fields would be in their hands, along with those of the other Gulf states.
