Saying he's grown frustrated with waiting for congressional Republicans, an angry President Barack Obama said Monday he will bypass Congress and act on his own to make changes to immigration policy by the end of the summer. Obama spoke Monday from the Rose Garden, where he slammed House Republicans for being too accommodating to the conservative, anti-immigration wing of their party and chided House leadership for not working to pass a "darn bill."
"They're unwilling to stand up to the Tea Party and do what's right for the country. And what's worse — a bunch of them know better," Obama said in the Rose Garden, where he was joined by Vice President Joe Biden.
A White House official said earlier Monday that Obama's new moves came after House Speaker John Boehner told him last week the House will not vote on immigration-related legislation this year. Obama said Boehner informed him Republicans will not vote "at least for the remainder of this year." The president has faced pressure from immigration advocates to stem the tide of deportations in lieu of waiting for congressional legislation.
Obama said he will direct Homeland Security Department Secretary Jeh Johnson and Attorney General Eric Holder to present him with executive actions he can take without congressional approval by the end of the summer. He said he will implement them "without further delay." It's unclear what specific actions the administration might look to take, but Johnson suggested in an interview with PBS last month he would look at changing a controversial deportation policy that has faced criticism from all sides.

And don’t misinterpret what I am saying here. If the Democrats hold the senate, Obama can do whatever the hell he pleases and there isn’t a damn thing anyone can no about it.

Oh I agree and the millions spent on this a drain on US taxpayers. We have homeless families and children to tend to, and we could have sent food and medicines to Central America via our military, this did not have to happen. Those same military could have warned them not to come it would not go well for them if they did....instead, the opposite.
You do understand that he plans to legalize illegals. Now why do you think we will win the Senate (Dems are gonna cheat big to keep the Senate) and why do you think the RINOs are going to let Cruz and Lee do anything?
After all, we have to let Obama do as he pleases because we may not win the next election in 2016.

He needs to keep the promotion of amnesty going to draw in votes and pro-amnesty business money ahead of the elections this fall.
However, there are Republicans ready to side with him when the political timing is right. The 2014 elections must pass before that can happen.
Wow! Bammy’s on a roll today. He’s furious about the Supreme Court decisions and he has already announced that he, as a “Constitutional lawyer,” is going to “mitigate” the Hobby Lobby decision. I think he feels he has nothing to lose, so he can pull out all the stops now and say and do anything he wants - after all, who’s going to stop him?

It’s my understanding that on July 4th...Obama will swear in some soldiers as Citizens. I believe their service entitles them. (I’m also betting they’re illegal aliens.)

Very points... except for one. there is no need for Obama to declare martial law and try to stay in power. Obama can find other things to do and 8 yrs is probably enough. He can move on to the UN, speaking circuit , golf or whatever. The point is.. the dems are a machine and have plenty of people lined up to take his place. Hillary is next up. I doubt a Republican will ever be elected President again.

I agree. He’s told us exactly what he plans to do, and he’s breaking the law by even saying what he did. Arrest him, impeach me, get rid of him. He’s a criminal.
The problem is that he doesn’t care about even the pretense of legality anymore. He has gotten away with so much that he knows nobody can stop him, and I think he took the Supreme Court decision today as a challenge. It’s provoking him to lash out at everything and everyone. We’ve never had a situation like this, with a completely out of control executive, even FDR.
I find his constant reference to the “Tea Party” very alarming. First of all, there is no such thing as the “Tea Party.” It’s just a general descriptor for adherents to a range of conservative attitudes. But in many cases, these attitudes that really don’t go much further than those that are technically part of the GOP’s official platform...conservatives simply want the GOP positions actually carried out and not just talked about when somebody’s running for office.
So what he is doing really is demonizing the opposition, even the harmless and probably complaisant GOPe, in a way that makes me think he probably has other plans lined up for his “enemies.” He still may get away with the IRS plot, but I’m sure he’s thinking of other things.
