WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is thanking friends and colleagues who he says have supported and guided his administration on same-sex issues and equality policies.
Obama recognized influential figures in his life, including an old college professor, who he says have helped shape how he thinks about many of these issues, as he marked Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month at a White House reception Monday.
