My theory on the end of Islam involves the ChiComs nuking Mecca after some Uighurs push the envelope a little too far.
The Chinese get it. They understand the threat of this archaic seventh century savagery. They may very well be the last bulwark defending against it.

How do they intended to enforce the ban on NOT eating? Force feeding?
Chinese cuisine prominently features pork.
Uighurs in western China are Turkic Muslims. The two groups could not be further apart.
The ChiComs banning Ramadan observance (How? “You there, I don’t see you eating! Are you a fasting Muslim?”) must be intended to stir up the hornets’ nest. Maybe something huge is around the corner.
A world with Mecca is fervently to be hoped. Only the ChiComs could pull it off.
And the Russians as well. They do not mess.

Right now I am picturing Chinese cops walking around force-feeding pork rinds to random passers by.
Not exactly. Russia likes to buddy up with Muslim countries so they can’t pull something like this.
A typical Chinese would say, “Ummm, these are good! Got any more?”

Wondering how they can force people to eat. I guess having public pig roasts with big fans to waft the aroma hither and yon might do the trick. Baking bread is another greatly addictive aroma.
