Cochran/McDaniel Update

COCHRAN CAMP TELLS MCDANIEL: BRING THE FACTS FORWARD Although state Sen. Chris McDaniel, R-Miss, believes the July 24 runoff election against Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., is a “sham” with “thousands of irregularities.” During a conference call set up by Cochran’s campaign Wednesday, Cochran’s campaign advisor, Austin Barbour, calls the illegal voting claim “baseless” and said “it’s time for the McDaniel campaign to put up or shut up.” Barbour said that although McDaniel “ran a great campaign…Sadly, the time has come now that we can no longer sit still with all these baseless accusations that are being fed by the McDaniel campaign and their out-of-state allies.” Barbour challenged the campaign to bring forth hard evidence, “but quit talking about exaggerated numbers that they know are not true and we know are not true.” McDaniel’s campaign claims they have more than 3,000 invalid votes. He needs nearly 6,800 votes to beat Cochran. Crashed conference call – Daily Caller: “The campaign of Republican Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran attempted to hold a conference call with the media on Wednesday, but was forced to cancel it midway through after someone highjacked the call with provocative questions about race.…[Austin Barbour] told the activist he would answer questions after he was done giving his statement…. It was not immediately known who the questioner was. But prior to the call, McDaniel supporter Charles C. Johnson — who published a story Wednesday accusing Cochran’s campaign of buying off black voters — tweeted out details on how people could access the conference call.” According to The (Jackson, Miss.) Clarion-Ledger: “Some 30 minutes after the call started, someone was playing soundbites from President Barack Obama, Animal House and news shows. Eventually, some of the clips became racist and vulgar.”

“it’s time for the McDaniel campaign to put up or shut up.”

And yet they are telling county clerks to hold back the poll books.

Were I McDaniel’s respondent, I’d reply back with a “See you in court, mofo!”

Count every invalid vote, and challenge every absentee. But maybe, as Rand Paul says, it is a wonderful thing that so many more (Democrats) came out to vote in this runoff!

Thanks for the update. I will say I hope McDaniel updates us himself soon. I’m starting to feel like we’re rooting for a phantom campaign.

I support McDaniel 100%. But it IS time to stop yammering and bring on the evidence.

And thank those of you who post these updates. This is the only site where I can really find anything on this.

The McDaniel camp has already released photos of illegal votes. What else do you want them to do? Photos for all 3,000 votes? If they did that, it would take time away from them finding other illegal votes.

If they find 7,000 illegal votes, they have covered the margin and will have the most solid grounds for over turning the election. I am of the opinion that their time is better spent first finding the 7,000 and then releasing the data. Especially considering the push back that they have been receiving.

With some 15,000 or more absentees and the other potential erronous votes it may take
sometime to get the data needed to get the courtroom wheels in motion. I think I read
Monday, July 7, 2014 is final day for info to be sent in and certification occurs.
After that I think McDaniel will have more luck in getting access to things.

McDaniel said if he can prove widespread irregularities, he can sue on that. I don’t think it’s good to let this go on and on with only a Twitter account for updates. Time is not McDaniel’s friend and I personally feel that if he waits until after certification to make his intentions clear it may be too late. Cochran will be the nominee then at least in most people’s eyes.

IMHO

They need to have access to the votes in every county, the “poll books” to prove the allegation.

The GOPe political machine is blocking access to them for the McDaniel people.

“...the “poll books”...The GOPe political machine is blocking access to them for the McDaniel people.”
****************************************************************************
And there is REALLY MASSIVE resistance to allowing access to the absentee ballot material AS REQUIRED BY FEDERAL LAW. There is likely substantial FRAUD associated with big chunks of the absentee votes. True the Vote has an emergency lawsuit to get the needed access. The GOPe, of course, continues to try to run out the clock.

Haley Barbour acts like he made Ronald Reagan. The clown doesn't realize that it's Ronald Reagan's coattails that made him. His son has this same sense of entitlement. His father rode Reagan's coattails for a long career and Austin thinks he can too. Austin, Conservatives have lost all respect for you and your father. I hope conservatives in the state of Mississippi are taking note. Please go away. some_text

This has hit Breitbart, Right Scoop, Gateway Pundit, Redstate, et all. If you can’t find it, you haven’t looked.

Also, he cannot file a single charge until the results are certified. Barbour is right now holding that process up.
