Why would this idiot think Latinos in this country legally want illegals to come in and take their jobs? Why would they automatically want more poor in this country?

Everything this guy says is counter factual.

Just anecdotal evidence, but I have worked with a number of legal Mexican Americans, who are working in maintenance and housekeeping type jobs.

Every single one of them is against illegal immigration, or granting amnesty. They see companies paying people under the table, and breaking other laws, to accomodate illegal workers, and they are very much against that.

It’s really over simplifying the issue, and somewhat bigoted in my opinion, to just assume that Hispanics welcome all this illegal immigration, and favor amnensty, and favor Democrats and liberalism when they go to vote.

Exactly. They don't. In fact, opposition to illegal immigration crosses party lines among majorities of self-identified Republicans and Democrats.

Seems the only people who want "Immigration Reform" (i.e. massive amnesty of illegals) are politicians in Washington on both sides of the aisle who are bound and determined to force this upon an America that almost uniformly does not want it.

Yeah, but the thing is, the illegals vote Dem because Dems will let them stay. They stay and take the jobs from legal Latinos, and a lot of the lower income African-Americans. Those who lose their jobs go on welfare, and they'll vote Dem to keep the welfare.

So if you think of the country as being divided into those with jobs, those on welfare, and those here illegally, 2 out of 3 have Dems to thank for the pittance they're living on.

IIRC exit polling from the 2012 race showed that immigration was a minor issue in how Latino's voted. The major issue was their support for Obamacare.

As much as they like to say that their wavering immigration stance is based on the best way to pull Latino voters into the GOP, based on past voting patterns reality to be that GOPe support is being driven by big $$$ backers (like the Chamber of Commerce) who are drooling over the impact the cheap labor will have on profit margins.
