I have little sympathy for either of the protagonists. On the one hand, we got a rich little daddy’s girl, vying to land a TV show through ‘trophy’ hunting and on the other side, a liberal ‘trophy’ wife. The irony is thick! These two make the characters from ‘Seinfeld’ appear absolutely sympathetic!

Based upon my understanding of the Bible, we are to be stewards of the Earth. I do not understand how hunting, for anything but food, is good stewardship of the Earth. It is rather obvious that Daddy Warbucks of Texas, has plenty of cash to throw around, to allow his apparently spoiled, self-important, apparently semi-illiterate, 19-year old, to go big game hunting in hopes of landing a TV show. Her claimed altruism is highly suspect. I pity the boy who marries this spoiled child!

On the other hand, instead of someone hunting ‘trophies’, we have a spoiled, churlish, liberal ‘trophy’ wife, also apparently of limited literacy, expressing her desire to inflict bodily injury of the ‘huntress’.

Neither one of these two is a sympathetic figure. For whom do I have sympathy? How about people in Africa who are starving and underprivileged? And for me, for having wasted precious minutes out of my life to read and respond however, that was a choice I made.

I do not understand how hunting, for anything but food, is good stewardship of the Earth.

So animals that have killed people shouldn't be hunted down and shot? Animals that destroy livestock or crops that imperil the people relying on that food shouldn't be shot? Are animals above people in your outlook? How about licensing the taking of animals that are excess to their environment and using the money to improve that environment? If you think that the animals that were killed weren't eaten, you need to read up on meat in Africa.

I do not understand how hunting, for anything but food, is good stewardship of the Earth................. How about people in Africa who are starving and underprivileged?

Your post indicates that you are unable to connect that one of the solutions to the second part:

(How about people in Africa who are starving and underprivileged?)

is the first part:

(I do not understand how hunting, for anything but food, is good stewardship of the Earth).

The lack of intellect of some Freepers continues to be a disappointment.

If you need further explanation of the connection, I'll understand. Let me know.
