I think its as simple as they have realized they can get away with it.

You're correct, but I think there is more to it than that. Most people wouldn't do something just because they can get away with it. I think it's that, combined with the lack of morality. I can't remember a time in modern American history with such a lack of morality, and contempt, on the part of government officials at every level.

These are LOCAL cops, that live in these communities. They show a complete disregard for their own neighbors. We're living in very troubling times.

Unfortunately, cops are no longer respecters of private property-especially in cities-and dogs or no, that is unacceptable in a society that values personal property rights and liberty. It has even happened a time or two in little towns out here, but not in awhile-there was a countywide backlash and a lot of firings.

Loose dogs of any variety are dangerous-and considering the preference for guarding breeds of dog here-Mastiffs to Pits-there is no more fear for one of those breeds than the other-they guard livestock and property. Here, you respect private property and any animal that guards it.

However, these incidents are still not that common.

Every 98 minutes is pretty common. Since I first posted this, at least 2 family dogs have been killed by our “servants in blue.”

I agree and its a message to the people that the cops are in charge and you better fall into line.

"WND published this? NPR would be proud."

NPR would not be so truthful. Police are dog murdering Gestapo.

Of course they shoot the dogs. Unlike the sheeple, the dogs don’t immediately obey them.

Also, when they come for *us*, a “pesky dog” will make it harder for them to sneak in, unannounced, during a no-knock raid.

Dogs are historically the first line defense against criminals and marauders.

So, there you go.

“Internal Affairs”

LMAO!

Seriously?

Be part of an “internal investigation” just once and you’ll put a hundred times more faith in the Easter Bunny.

Your arrogant Gestapo attitude, combined with the obvious pride you have for the dogs you bragged about killing tells me all I need to know. An Adams county Colorado deputy is about to go on trial for shooting a dog already under an animal control officers control. I hope I am on the jury.

The police are tyrannical enemies of the people? Why am I not hearing or reading about the crimes of these “tyrannical enemies” in my own part of the country (western Wisconsin)?

That’s your business. But you seem to have issues with the police. Maybe your past history could shed a little light on your less than helpful attitude towards understanding law enforcement people.

Haven’t heard a peep about bad cops around my area of Wisconsin for at least a decade. You’ll have to do better.

And they enjoy it. Gives them something to brag about.

you can only put so many icons on one car...
so i guess, they'll shoot "small dogs"/caged parakeets

At what? Changing the mind of someone who has already predecided their position?

No need. You are either right, or return gunfire from the citizenry will eventually indicate your error.

What kind of police officer hits a mentally handicapped paraplegic in a wheelchair?

What kind of police department accepts this as “reasonable force”? This officer wasn't fired, he was given a 30 day suspension. That's sociopathic.
-The same type of fascist police department that thinks they can shoot people's dogs in their own yards. You might not have woken up yet, but the rest of us know that we're dealing with out-of-control Sociopaths, at every level of our government, including many who are in police departments.

I don’t think they will put mentally deranged individuals on the jury so your out of luck there. Just stay behind your computer keyboard and continue your delusional rants.
